  1. £50 a week? What's that spent on?? I pay £5 a month hosting and that's it! Made the website myself though
  2. Why not look at getting a used timberwolf 13/75? They're always coming up on eBay for similar money to this and when you're done with it you'll get your money back
  3. They do come back they hit me December then tried again in May, don't keep as much as a rake at home now
  4. Just did a search as never heard of them found a YouTube vid, looks ok but single roller and probably only designed for eucalyptus being New Zealand based! Think I'd pay the extra and get the timberwolf 240 over this
  5. I've bought top handles without showing paperwork...?
  6. Haha brilliant, can't beat a pair of class 0 chainsaw boots in the summer
  7. Nah once you break out the shorts it's best to keep a distance. I recommend a pole saw, whilst laid back on a sun lounger
  8. Email arbrep with the serial number and they'll send you the right one, did that a couple of weeks back for mine, very helpful
  9. They're well handy for snedding with one hand and feeding the chipper with the other 😉 whilst wearing flip flops
  10. Try the invoice2go app if you have a smartphone, does it all for you
  11. I go into detective mode when buying things like chippers, I google for tree surgeons in the area the chipper is supposed to be in and see if I can find pics of it in use on websites. Also worth searching the contact number to see if that brings up a company/ business listing or previous sales from eBay or gumtree all of which help point to a genuine seller
  12. Crisp packet to woodchip ratio?

    Busy Plod

They do this now and then to make out they do some police work! Last time i got stopped was because they said were checking for stolen chippers, fair enough. They still tried to do me for towing it behind a transit as would bring my total weight to over 3500kg, wouldn't let me tow away until I had him show me the applicable law, at which point he backed down when I proved him wrong
  14. Smiled at 4:10 when they say there's space for your name and they've gone and had 'your name' printed on the machine
  15. Would be good to see, they were one of the first chippers i used when did weekend work while still at school. Everyone I knew had one the 'chippit' entec or a Vermeer
  16. Customers are more and more wanting things done too quickly, had a chap call yesterday wanting a leylandii he'd just cut down (and now filling his garden) cleared up today! Err right, give me about 3 weeks till I can get to it or starting ringing around!
  17. Reminds me of the gump from return to oz!
  18. Thanks for that, looks a handy tool, never heard of one before will get one unless any other solutions come along! Last thing I want to do is ruin the rollers but they are quite rounded towards the left where it sends the branches, it was struggling to grip Ash today and the blades are pretty sharp
  19. Just bought a Jensen a530 all works as it should but the rollers could do with a sharpen, can this be done easily enough without having to take them off the machine and if so what's the best method? I'm assuming angle grinder? Which disk of so?

    which saw??

Is it tuned correctly? I had one that was plenty responsive and no issue with the chain, also 560 vs 261 is 60cc vs 50cc
  21. If you want to bypass the card machine just get the PayPal here app, the card reader works through it via Bluetooth normally but you can also use the app to type card details in for a slightly higher percentage (3.something%)
  22. I've got the PayPal one, doesn't get used much so keep a battery booster with it to charge it up, useful for customers who don't know how to do internet banking or if you think they'll be a slow payer
  23. Agreed hodge, no point working too cheap, but for a tree like that at 1200 to the customer I can't see anyone getting it as realistically it should be about half that
