  1. But what about the billions they made b4 the crash ! I just feel they are laughing at us all now, just like they were laughing at us all when they were making their billions. I detest the banks.
  2. I refuse to do the cpcs cards, i tend to do the cheaper alternative cards ( Npors, ittsar ) etc, i know they are not as widely excepted, but i tend to find work with them, the training is just the same but ££££'s cheaper. Also, how come non of this applies to farmers ( as i believe )
  3. So what is exactly changing and how will it affect everyone.
  4. the kawasaki range are apparently well worth a shot ( never tried one myself tho ) if your after a lightwieght one, have a look at the makita range.
  5. But a van might be the better ( overlooked ) choice. If not, i'd go either hi lux, l200 or isuzu.
  6. sounds to me as tho you just need to swap the van, if you have managed with a small van this long, why change, i'd go for a citroen berlingo with the seats in. its a roomy multipurpose vehicle. if you dont need 4 wheel drive, why get it.
  7. hi, hope your new venture goes well. Just looked on your website and noticed a few spelling mistakes, you might want to correct. cheers
  8. I would gladly pay an extra 10p litr to keep the farmers going, i believe in supporting them as much as possible. They help to create the countryside we all enjoy. On the subject of grants etc. I was once working on a project for a well know ' lord '. he was renovating a home he had bought for his son. As it was a listed building in a run down state, he managed somehow to get a grant to cover the renovations. What did he do. He built a great big indoor swimming pool and jaccuzzi. How can that be right !
  9. bow saw and an axe, let him cut / chop his own sticks, bag em and sell them as a seperate entity, end off holidays see his face light up when he sees how much he has earned. I was also going to add, let him go knocking on doors selling his wares, but its too dangerous now. i did this back in the 80's, much safer then.
  10. i didnt think arborculture was covered by the cis scheme.
  11. put it down to experience. move on, dont dwell on it.
  12. get a petrol one, you will soon get the bug and want to start cutting everything and anything. Electric ones do have a place, but i would go for a small petrol one in this case. I like the makita saws. But thats just personal preference and i'm not a pro user.
  13. Fascia's are what the guttering is fastened to, soffit is the underneath part that you can see from the ground. If you are going to do the replacing of guttering, you need roughly an inch fall per 3.6 mtr length. Brackets are roughly every 800mm.
  14. Yesterday, i did a 1 hr fun swim with the kids, then i did 30 mins kettlebells in the aft, followed by a 30 min bike ride and loved every minute of it. tonight i have just done 30 mins kettlebells. ( i just love those things ).
  15. joiner by profession, but have hgv 2 to fall back on, along with management cpc for office work.
  16. i bet words cannot describe what you must be feeling right now justin, and to those that carried out the raid, your time will be up !
  17. if it was me, and windfall says 1 ton = just under 2 cube. then i would use a figure of 1.5 cube per ton. This way should ensure you always calculate enough stock. just my thoughts on it.
  18. how much are the ibc units to buy
  19. i recon it all comes down to the type of work you do (ie office / manual/ driving) at the type of training if any you do and diet etc. i feel stronger now at 42 but not as fit as my late twenties early thirties. I have changed my fittness routines to suit as well. Absolutely adore kettlebells (thanks to you lot),even doing kettlebell classes with women now. Also having a healthy mindset also helps.
  20. at my current place of work, they are mad on both hayter and john deer mowers.
  21. i normally buy whatever is on offer at tesco every 2 years or so. But saying that, i really fancy upgrading soon, and i'll be having a very close look at the kodak range. They're suposed to be really good and decently priced.
  22. i had some bone removed from my knee some years back. Walked into hospital in the morning, walked back out again in the afternoon. My op was on a thursday, so took caravan away for weekend, back at work monday. no problem.
  23. it was parked on a busy main road, it was just mindless opportunists, it happens in spits and spats round here.
