  1. I'd be intrested to know how much you would charge to process cord, 95% of the cord is 12 inch and under, it's stacked quite high and theres no gear on site so you would supply all the equipment, tractor, processor, fuel etc, theres about 40 tonne of hardwood. Suffolk/Essex border And how much could you process in a day ?
  2. My buxom wench kneads home made cookies......there realy yummy.
  3. I thought you were more of a fresh cream cake sort of guy Steve.
  4. Have you got two different lots for sale
  5. Thanks for clearing that one up Steve, on the whole I think the mods on here do a great job and you and your admin staff run a top forum. [Egg breaths a sigh of relief...]
  6. I'm sure i read a thread earlier about someone selling 10m3 of firewood for £160, it had been edited by one of the mods. Why ? I know the boss has to make money out of this forum to cover his time and input and thats what the classifieds are for, but there are a few threads on the firewood forum offering cord for sale so whats the difference between one guy trying to sell timber and another guy trying to sell timber ? probably speaking out of turn again, [egg wanders off thinking is this going to get him in to trouble.....]
  7. I was waiting on the end of my drive.....you never turned up:lol: and i had a box full of fresh cream cakes
  8. Does he have to bring the cakes Steve.....like you told me i would have to. lol
  9. I may be able to help you with this, depending on where you are based.
  10. If i remember rightly Matt your dad is a paramedic, but when you work on the roads (i said motorways, because thats where most of my work was) you are the first on the scene to try and help before the emergency services arrive on site (which some times is not pretty). And your right tractors are banned from the motorways.
  11. Who will think back to this post ? I've been the man who clears up the accident, worked on the motorways for years. Dont know where kama comes into it.........
  12. Ask your dad if he remembers friggin in the riggin
  13. Rob, they weren't an arb firm, but a traffic management company, called Blue Arrow traffic management. Do you know them ?
  14. The company i worked for many years ago were in Frodsham.........
  15. NO, and i think tractor drivers that don't pull over for joe public are not very nice And i drive a tractor from time to time
  16. I've met ben and he seems like a really nice bloke (although we might not see eye to eye all the time) i also knew Peter "Fingers" Layzell who gave the land to the charitable trust that ben farms. Good luck ben. i've got many stories about "Fingers Layzell" if you want to hear them...
  17. A similar story, we were working nights on Dartford river crossing many years ago when one of the tunnel cleaning gang found a pistol in the tunnel, job stopped everyone off the job until the police were called to collect the gun.
  18. I've done one or two rescuse in my time, working on the roads many years ago we had a petrol tanker go over in the road works....petrol leaking all over the M6 climbed up onto the overturned cab to get the driver out, he was in desperate need of hospital treatmet, all he said was he needed his glasses and mobile phone....bless him. Working in the drainage business, we were lowering a lad down in to a sewage pumping station when the man riding winch failed, tied a safety line to the back of the truck got down there clipped on to his harness and my mate pulled us out with the truck...job done. I'd worry about the legal side of things later.
  19. Thats the very girl, i've seen him out with her......
  20. Can't help in your area, but i buy and sell a few ibc's, depening on whats been in them i pay between nothing and £25 each.
  21. When you billet your timber, is it log size? - what i'm trying to say is do you just pass the billets through the sawbench or do you have to split them further once cut? [egg wanders off thinking does this make sense or not]
  22. I reckon this one will get moved jon:001_tongue: He is doing a great job though:thumbup:
