  1. Air con, had to have the engine running anyway to run the pto jetter.
  2. When i worked for the local water company i used to take one of my spaniels with me every day, he could run around thier sites as much as he wanted. But he stayed in the van if i went to a customer job.
  3. I hate it when i get those massive orders in at this time of year.....Don't half put the pressure on
  4. ben, what you looking for, and what kind of money, would you buy something to tide you over ?
  5. Did you miss a bit ? The op said the bloke was a mate of his, being a mate he would probably know what gear he'd got......And my mates don't nick things off me!!!!!!
  6. Not a prize, just a gift, out of the goodness of his heart. It arrived today nicely packaged. Thanks again, Ted.
  7. Ted aka Easy Lift Guy sent me this from the good old US of A. Its a chainsaw all in one tool. It's got a, T27torx, 4mmex/allen key, one large and one small screw driver, bar groove cleaner (looks just like a bottle opener, even handier:biggrin:) 10 and 19mm socket, 13mm socket and file handle. It even comes with it's own pouch that you can clip on to your Bat Belt.
  8. I've seen that red and blue transit about, do you know where he is based ? How he can do a transit load for £100 is beyond me, i followed him a few weeks ago he had a heaped load on at the time and the logs looked good quality.
  9. A bloke up the road from me as just undercut me by £25 a load, we both advertise in the same local paper, for the last few years we have matched each other on price, when i asked him why he said he isn't selling much so he was dropping his prices to get rid of what he's got............winter hasn't arrived yet, but he's panicking
  10. Used to have the same problem when i worked on the roads, if i was towing something small like a genny or traffic light set behind a 7.5 tonner that i couldn't see behind me, when i wanted to reverse it i used to stick a cone on top of the trailer as close to the off side as possible, i could just see the cone out of drivers side mirror and used that as a guide, but as said before stick some flags/markers on your chipper, and roberts ya farthers brother.
  11. The thing is Steve some times you just cant win, i'm not on about the mods on here, but if you praise someone your in the wrong in one or two peoples eyes, and if you tell a story of something you've done your accused of being something you aren't. I'm not saying i haven't swung my handbag in the past but some people seem to have it down to a fine art.
  12. Great pics mate, from a great stadium, i've got some video of the FA cup semi on my phone, can i get them on here as pics or is there no way of doing that ?
  13. No Stoke shirt that day ap, me and the lad in question had been having a few drinks in the airport bar (spent the last few pasata) whilst we were waiting on stand-by for the next empty seats to come available, we got two seats next to each other. When we landed at Birmingham, bank card wouldn't work:blushing: he offered to pay for my train ticket, which i said i would pay him back for, he declined, like i said, he was a top lad.
  14. I'm sure your 2 year old will grow up to be very bright, being taught by yourself......NOT.
  15. Good on you. I'll never forget once when I was working in spain many years ago. I booked my flight back on bank card at Malaga airport, I got in to Birmingham airport and tried to buy a train ticket back to Stoke. My bank card wouldn't work. A lad I'd been sat next to on the plane (never met him before) paid for my train ticket. I asked him for his address so i could forward the train fare on to him, but he said don't worry about it - top man he was.
  16. I've got the timber and machinary to do it myself the thing i'm short of is time, i have been asked to price up a big (ish) drainage job (my main business) that needs doing before xmas, so i was just wondering what it would cost to get someone in to process some of my timber. I will keep you in mind for the future though. I'd better get back to pricing this drainage job up and stop getting distracted by arbtalk.
