  1. Hi mendi-plogs , get the two tool cabinets off the guy on ebay £300 for both of them. The guy on ebay is also from sunny Somerset, you could go and collect them and have a pint of cizer over the deal.
  2. I've got a pair of Oregon gloves you can have (size 10) i think! If you pm me your address i'll stick them in the post for you.
  3. Sorry to go off track again. But.....It seems like the going rate for a days work (in your area) is between £100 and £140. Why not take the average wage and say you need someone to do a days work for £120 ? Whats all this pm me your rates business ?
  4. Nearly spat me coffee out. All ways knew you tree boys were a queer lot
  5. I've just been speaking to a mate of mine, he told me he saw a combine on fire in Sandwich in Kent today. Not a good start to the Harvest!
  6. I for one would not be willing to pay more for milk to keep dairy farms going. I made up my mind not to carry on in the log game earlier in the year. Firstly because i'm way to busy doing drainage. Secondly it was not viable to buy in cordwood, rent a yard and barn to store my gear. No one gave me any subsidies to carry on splitting logs. Why should dairy or any other farmer get help to run a business that can't pay it's own way ? I'll get me tin hat.
  7. Got one just the same........ Glad i packed the logs in
  8. Get to work!!!!.............Your home early aren't you
  9. The truck as just passed i took the filter out of the fuel pump gave it a clean with a tooth brush put it back in, it's like a new truck. It'll be on ebay over the weekend And the bloke at the garage never charged me for the second retest. "Thanks very much mate, get ya self a drink :thumbup1:"
  10. Give it a miss mate. I had many years being on call (not in your trade). It's a fecking nightmare, it's ok now and again but when it's an ongoing thing it realy is
  11. Thats done me, nearly spat me beer out
  12. Cheers, It's the non-turbo (98) on a R plate so no cat either. It's only done 75k miles. I want it MOT'd so i can get shot of it, i'm after a small van and can't justify keeping the old truck.
  13. Today i've changed the fuel, oil, air filters and changed the oil then took it out for a good run. No change . The bloke in the motor factors said there may be a filter on the fuel pump that could be blocked and causing the excessive smoke is this correct ??? I also noticed that the engine is miss firing at about half revs and this is when the smoke appears. Any more ideas??
  14. The smoke did seem to clear yesterday, i did about 40 miles going hard (well as hard as ya can go in a cabstar) but when the bloke in the test station put his foot on the peddle today it was like the black hole of Calcuta (sp) in the garage
  15. Thanks for the pm with Tom's number i'll give him a call
  16. Air filter is good and clean (not that old) it does not use any oil at all. The screw on the injector pump??
  17. Forgot to mention this was the retest and i put a bottle of injector cleaner/diesel treatment in it and had a good hard run out in it yesterday.
  18. I took my old Nissan Cabstar for it's MOT today and it failed on the emissions test. The guy in the garage said it could be one of two or more things. Injectors, fuel pump and the likes. What should i look at first ? or should i just weigh it in
  19. If this static is still available, I know someone that may be interested. A friend of mine is just about to sign the paper work to buy an old farm house that he is going to renovate and he is looking for a static caravan to live in whilst doing the work. I'll pm you his number or you can pm me your number and I will pass it on to him.
  20. Pics as promised, sorry it's taken a while carpenter1, i can email more to you if you need to see some more.
  21. I can't help but i can get everyone involved lunch..... fish and chips are on me. If Matty or one of the others wants to send me a pm i'll do a bank transfer.
  22. I'll get some pics up later. I recently put new belts on it.
