Mate of mine is thinking of buying this box to live in, and he's asked me to do the conversion. Am I right in thinking I could cut through the bulkhead into the box to create access from cab to living area? My thinking is it would be fine as the bulkhead and box aren't structural. Back in the real world, for around the same money some trades wouldn't have bothered with the inspection and got it signed off anyway, so I'm told I on the other hand try to do things the right way.

That is the way it works in my world, he signs off my work, then I pay him for the tickets if my work meets the required standards. Or I could just send him the dollar, (what does that actually mean!?) Before I've clapped eyes on him.
