  1. Sorry for the quality of the pics....but you get the idea.
  2. Yeah, it's been slow for the last couple of weeks. If peckerwoo is right (he usually is) we'll just have to wait till january for our money.
  3. It's not my cuppa tea, to be honest..........
  4. I've just seen the student protest that happened yesterday in London, there seemed to be alot of "kettleing" going on by the police. My question is: Have we got the right to a peaceful protest in this country, or do the powers that be tell us how we protest ?
  5. Tell you the truth i haven't informed either of the above, i'll email the pics to them tomorrow.
  6. No signs of fatigue in the metal, the eagle is five years old and it was nasty my shin and foot are still slightly bruised. Also the blade was still spinnig unguarded.
  7. photos of broken bracket, over a week late the first pic shows the broken bracket. The second shows the cradle lying on the floor, you can just make out the part of the bracket still attached to the bar that the cradle slides back and forth on: Hope the pics work!!!!
  8. Can anyone tell me how to put some pics on here:confused1:
  9. I think you'll be hard pressed to find timber ready to sell this winter......may be wrong.
  10. What sort of timber is it ?
  11. Thats more like it. I was paying £60 a day for a lad helping me process firewood (unskilled) last winter, he will be helping me this winter on £80 a day, if he does any drainage work for me (my main business) he'll be on £150 a day, he's a skilled tradesman (in drainage) and that is the going rate around here.
  12. Nick, are people really paying £50-£55 a tonne (delivered) for cord around your way ? you've posted recently that you are paying £30-£35 per tonne for cord roadside. which makes haulage £20 a tonne, sounds like alot of money for haulage.
  13. Doesn't matter what trade you're in, the customer will only have reactive work done, if the proactive work is starting to cost too much.
  14. Alot of the tradesmen in this area are running "lean" lets say, O licenses for 3.5 tonne trucks and trailers are another expense that some wont be able to suffer.
  15. It doesn't come any straighter than that
  16. Thanks Rover, they are the sort of thing i'm after, anyone know where i can get any locally ?
  17. Yep those are the sort of things i'm after, any style/design, i want new ones though.
  18. We're having our lpg gas tank moved to a different location in the garden and I need 3 bollards to protect the tank from vehicles (don't ask). Does any one know where I can get three cast iron bollards from ideally in the Suffolk/Essex border area but will buy online if someone recommends a good supplier. I've looked at a couple of websites and they only want to sell them in batches of ten. Any help would be great.
