  7. Guess i'll just have to go and buy a helmet (not stihl) locally, i just thought i'd spend my money with one of the companies on here.
  8. I'v just been looking on F R Jones site for a new chainsaw helmet and as i only use a saw rarely, whilst doing firewood i only want something basic, so i was looking at 'the Stihl aero light' but it says on the website 'due to sthils online sales policy' we will check if you are a 'known or professional customer'. Does this mean i can't buy this helmet as i have no formal training ?, i could understand if i was trying to buy i chainsaw online that i would need checking out. But for an helmet!!!!
  9. Any reason that you say the near-side ? funnily enough when we used to sub into the local water company they used to mount all their swing lifts near-side.
  10. This swing lift will be mounted on the sub frame of the tipper body.....will this be ok?
  11. I think ten pints in one night might end up a bit messy, but we can have a good go at it, see ya soon:thumbup:
  12. If no Arbtalkers take you up on this offer does it mean i get the first 10 ciders off you when i get there:thumbup:
  13. I'm coming mate, cant make the steam fair but will be down in the next few weeks for a few ciders, see ya soon:thumbup:
  14. Any pics, and did you use any special bolts to mount it ? i only ask about the bolts as a half tonne lift on four bolts seems alot.
  15. So what are you trying to say, that all the thefts from these tents are made by travellers ? and what good would a padlock on a tent do, i don't think it would stop some little scrote with a stanley knife.
  16. Like rover said use an ibc, shame your not closer to me as i have a few for sale.
  17. I like the idea of putting it on the back and being able to load/unload a trailer if need be. Thanks for the idea.
  18. I've only just started using bags so haven't had to unload any yet.
  19. Hopefully i should have my hands on a swing lift by the weekend, to unload by bulk bags of logs. I have a Nissan cabstar and was wondering where would the best place to locate the swing lift on the buck, i.e front, back, nearside, off side. Any ideas.
  20. If i was you i'd try and stretch to a new Hakki pilke eagle @ about £1,500+vat for the pto version as second hand one's are doing £1,200-£1,300 on ebay.
  21. Your right about the quality and the m/c, quantity is easy pay by the tonne and send the lorry over the local weigh bridge. I guess it's just the same as trying to find a good kindling supplier, like yourself. but as i've said before i'm not mug enough to buy the first few loads, without being there whilst it was being loaded, if the seller didn't come recommended
  22. I'd never buy in cord again if i could buy a m3 of seasoned hardwood split for £45.
  23. First five miles free, then a pound a mile thereafter
