  1. Mrs egg and me have just been watching the tudors, (a bit rough if you got caught out doing anything wrong), when we got talking about how barbaric we were years ago (or should i say are forfarthers were). Anyway iirc Ruth Ellis was the last woman in England to hang (i think in 1956-1957), but who was the last man to hang and what year was it, (i'm sure it was as late as the early sixties, but apart from that i'm lost. Sorry for being so sombre.
  2. Man love, which is so so wrong:lol:
  3. I looked on their website and didn't see tractors do you know if they hire them?
  4. This could be the answer to my problem, have you got a number for phil so i can give him a call. How much do you want per day/week to hire out your massy, you can send me a pm if you don't want to divulge that info on here. Thanks. Egg.
  5. Thanks for the number, i will give him a call. What sort of money does he charge per day/week?
  6. There's an ernest doe just down the road from me but all the tractors they have are way to big for what i need. I will give Newmarket plant hire a call in the morning. Thanks for the link.
  7. Does anyone hire out tractors Suffolk/north Essex? The one i was going to buy this weekend as just done the cylinder head (could of been worse, it could of happened after i bought it). So i'm looking to hire one until i can find another. Anything from a compact tractor upwards will do as i only want to run my saw bench off it.
  8. I wouldn't do it normally, i try and stay within 15 miles of home doing the logs. But i rang a mate of mine one Sunday a few weeks ago (only for a chat) who has a big job in Southend (and was paying good money) so i went down to help him out, as and when. My old man always used to say "think of the money"
  9. I have been helping a mate of mine out on a big job he's got (night shifts) for odd nights over the last few weeks, takes about hour and a quarter to an hour and half each way. And then doing 12 hours shifts on the job. Have been knackered though.
  10. The op is way to sycophantic for me:001_tongue:
  11. I've told you before wind ya neck in:lol:
  12. Never noticed that:blushing:
  13. If you could get it back to Cambridge i'd take the lot and give you a good drink.
  14. Same around here, i was reading in the local paper today that a gang of lads from Birmingham had been caught in suffolk this week with 10k worth of scrap from the local scrap yard.

elg, what do you mean by "deport the balance from their land"?
  16. I really don't see where you're coming from, the Stour Valley/Cornard Mere has to be some of the nicest bits of countryside in the country, at the end of the day it was good enough for Constable and Gainsborough to paint.
  17. In the "lounge", think it must of been posted twice.
  18. It's a lovely village, but believe it or not it's in Essex.
  19. I settled here after moving around England and Europe, wouldn't swap where i am now for all the tea in China
  20. This sounds like a delicate situation Hama, can you tell us whats happened.....or would you have to kill us if you did:lol:
