  2. very smart, looks the business:thumbup1:
  3. Unless you have got an endless supply of wood, i would just get someone in with a splitter or processor to convert your 5/6 tonnes of wood in to logs.
  4. Sorry bob, i typed that without thinking about you having one for sale:blushing:
  5. Ben, DON'T buy a cabstar as you know i've got one as far as being reliable i can't knock mine but if taken off road even down the track to my shed they are rubbish, i lost count of how many times i had tow myself out of my shed with the tractor last winter.
  6. Nearly spat me beer out. pmsl
  7. Where did you get the folding containers from and what did they cost ?
  8. Was going to put a bid in for it.....but the mrs doesn't want down size just yet:biggrin:
  9. That sounds cheap, what size blades are they
  10. Cheers scraggs, i've just rang Haydens the blade is going in next week, only £20 to sharpen it, what a bargain:thumbup:
  11. Thanks Chris, i will try and find someone local to get mine done, it's just that mine doesn't seem to be cutting as fast as it used to. Have you got any idea what it will cost to have done (it's the blade on my hakki eagle) which without going back up the yard i can't recall what size it is.
  12. Guess you'll be working Saturday then Dean
  13. just a quicky do tct saw blades need sharpening from time to time or not?
  14. Are they any good for holding pints of cider jon:thumbup:
  15. Thats great news i will put my logs up by the same percentage:thumbup:
  16. You could try Andy Collins on here (dont know weather he'll have any) i think the last thread i saw that he was involved in he said he was selling at £55 per tonne rideside i don't know if that was inc vat or not, then you would have to sort out your own transport at another £10 per tonne plus vat (roughly). You could also try billy boy on here, i quoted him for a bulk load of logs this week but i was to expensive, he told me in a pm that he had been quoted alot less to buy in cordwood than i can buy it for:sneaky2:hope this helps.
  17. Sorry to derail where about are you and what sort of money are you getting for scrap at the moment?
  18. weighed in a Ford Escort this monday and got £175, you need to find a different scrap dealer, a few weeks ago i was weighing in electric motors one dealer was paying £500 a tonne another only a few miles away paid me £600 a tonne, it pays to have a ring around the day your going over the weigh bridge.
  19. We have a stupid law over here in the UK that says you can use "reasonable force" to stop people breaking in to your/stealing your property but all to often if someone uses force to stop the thieving scum it's the property owner that ends up in court.
  20. Are you getting a brand new truck in the autumn Ben?
  21. jon, don't do it if theres no free cider all that tea isn't any good for you:lol:
  22. I just tip on the driveway, although i have thought about offering a stacking service (out of season) another lad i know charges £15 per cube to stack.
