Could you not sub in labour has and when you need it? I also work alone alot in the summer months. A few years ago now when i was subbing in to the local water company i took ill whilst in the middle of no where the mobile phone signal was dropping in and out i managed to get through to the emergency services only for me to loose signal part way through the call, i was very lucky that an old boy walking his dog came across me and was able to call an ambulance on his phone (different network), so please when lone working let people know where you are and what time you should be home.

Your right it would be alot cheaper in rings or cord but finding these in this area is not easy (just look through some of my old threads) i will work out a price on a bulk sale and pm later.

Well said that man. Also public sector workers have been renowned to have been paid less than the private sector on the grounds that you would get a decent pension at the end of your service.

There's a company just outside Sudbury Suffolk that do them. Could find out the name if it's any good to you.

Renewablejohn as given you facts and figures from his wives own experiance after 37 years in the job. I don't think its a case of the unions trying to frighten their members, more a case of the government trying to take away the rights of public sector workers in a time of austerity. I'm sure if this was happening to your wife you would have a totally different outlook on it.

Cool, we've got three spaniels one black and white dog (ess) one white cocker and one young black cocker, 8 months. the black and white one is the most unruly of the lot. Saying that, i think it's in the breeding as the cockers both come off field trial champions. my mrs says its in the training. the cockers are hers......
