  1. This swing lift will be mounted on the sub frame of the tipper body.....will this be ok?
  2. I think ten pints in one night might end up a bit messy, but we can have a good go at it, see ya soon:thumbup:
  3. If no Arbtalkers take you up on this offer does it mean i get the first 10 ciders off you when i get there:thumbup:
  4. I'm coming mate, cant make the steam fair but will be down in the next few weeks for a few ciders, see ya soon:thumbup:
  5. Any pics, and did you use any special bolts to mount it ? i only ask about the bolts as a half tonne lift on four bolts seems alot.
  6. So what are you trying to say, that all the thefts from these tents are made by travellers ? and what good would a padlock on a tent do, i don't think it would stop some little scrote with a stanley knife.
  7. Like rover said use an ibc, shame your not closer to me as i have a few for sale.
  8. I like the idea of putting it on the back and being able to load/unload a trailer if need be. Thanks for the idea.
  9. I've only just started using bags so haven't had to unload any yet.
  10. Hopefully i should have my hands on a swing lift by the weekend, to unload by bulk bags of logs. I have a Nissan cabstar and was wondering where would the best place to locate the swing lift on the buck, i.e front, back, nearside, off side. Any ideas.
  11. If i was you i'd try and stretch to a new Hakki pilke eagle @ about £1,500+vat for the pto version as second hand one's are doing £1,200-£1,300 on ebay.
  12. Your right about the quality and the m/c, quantity is easy pay by the tonne and send the lorry over the local weigh bridge. I guess it's just the same as trying to find a good kindling supplier, like yourself. but as i've said before i'm not mug enough to buy the first few loads, without being there whilst it was being loaded, if the seller didn't come recommended
  13. I'd never buy in cord again if i could buy a m3 of seasoned hardwood split for £45.
  14. First five miles free, then a pound a mile thereafter
  15. The last lot i bought was £45 per tonne delivered in, that was off a chap on here.

    flyers

Used them for the first time this year, but i went into all the local pubs and shops with them (to advertise logs) rather than post them, i had a good return, was once told by a sales man that fliers get a one percent return, don't know if thats right or wrong.
  17. As anyone got a second hand splitter for sale ? i've got access to some big rings that won't go through the processor, so i'm on the look out for a petrol log splitter.
  18. It's disappeared into the arbtalk abyss
  19. Yes Dave, we could of gone down that road but the missus wouldn'nt have it, so it's in the hands of the solicitors, but getting blood out of stones dont happen, so we'll start again, what pisses me off is i try and help people out, passing on contacts and the like, because i'm a great believer in what goes round comes round. I said something on here, off the cuff to farmer ben the other night about "learning to walk before you run, when i read it back i didn't like how it came across but what i ment was watch you dont get caught with your pants down,so to speak.
  20. Your not wrong there Dave, i took some good orders in the last few weeks:thumbup:, but alot of my summer work is in drianage and i took a big "knock" off a, effing builder who went bankrupt owing me a small fortune:thumbdown: in the spring (which the missus keeps telling me as turned me bitter and twisted) role on the cold weather:thumbup:
  21. Yes, of course you can get the harvest over first, but you asked the question, steve gave you the answer, it seems like you want to be a jack of all trades, but don't have the time to do it. Me thinks you should learn to walk before you run:biggrin: And i don't mean that in a nasty way.
  22. Steve, i wasn't knocking your price or your product, what i've done is speak to the local shop owners and they want 100% mark up, i'm just trying to guage what is a reasonable price to ask for wholesale nets, from what ben as said he's selling to shops that are happy to make about a 33% mark up.
  23. I wouldn't be making a quid on a net at £1.60. You are more than welcome to drop over and have a look at my set up, not much to see though, a small fordson, hakki pilke eagle and a rented barn that i can't use at the moment as there are a pair of barn owl chicks in there, and the dedham wild life trust are monitoring. I spoke to the people from dedham and they told me that they think they will be gone in the next few days......fingers crossed.
