  1. I'm with you on this. I haven't done the maths on this but an eight x 4 x lets say 12 inch trailer must me at least a cm and there looks to be twice as much on the pick-up=£300 to me aswell.
  2. With a bit of luck there will be more TRO's put on our national parks, to stop 4x4 and motor x bikes chewing up the lanes. Only my opinion
  3. 5% on logs to domestic customers 20% on cord as far as i know.
  4. I'm sure Farmer_ben on here as got the log-loc and he says it's a good bit of kit, no doubt he'll be along soon to give you the low down on it.
  5. Will get some pics on Monday, before my mate repairs it for me. And its not been caught on anything as far as i can remember.
  6. Just thought i'd let those who own an eagle know that the log cradle on my machine failed today, basically there is a bracket that slides back and forth on a threaded bar that stops the cradle going to far back this bracket failed this morning allowing the cradle and a length of 2 metre by 8 inch timber to come slamming down on my shin then trapping my foot above the steel toe cap. (believe me it hurts), maybe worth checking yours before you start work each morning.
  7. I get The Big Issue, and you can get a free homeless person (according to the lad i buy my one from in Colchester) with each one you buy
  8. I didn't realise you'd retired from the supermodel circuit janey
  9. I suppose being a postman beats walking the streets:001_tongue:
  10. Ricky Tomlinson, springs to mind
  11. Give him/her the price for the cube and then move on, cutting and logging timber is hard enough without trying to keep account of how many logs are on each load. If your anything like alot of the lads/lasses on here you will run out of seasoned wood before the end of the winter anyway.
  12. The belts were quite easy to change, i just followed your instructions It took me about half an hour.
  13. Can i ask what they charged you (public liability) for delivering firewood?
  14. Not confirmed yet according to the bbc news.
  15. Top man MR T, thanks very much for your help on the phone
  16. Keep em covered up, even a few old tarps thrown over the top will do, just to keep the worst of the rain off. My customers seem to love it when i turn up with a full load of dry logs, on a rainy day, and my tilt bursting all shapes. The amount of new customers that rang me last year(after thay had been shafted with green or soaking wet softwood) and asked "are your logs dry" was unbeileveable.
  17. Thanks for your help ordered them off ebay today, any tips youve got for changing the belts would be great
  18. Thanks, where did you get the belt size from? i've been all over the net and can't find any info anywhere.
  19. Thanks, if all else fails i'll give them a shout.
  20. Anyone know what size the drive belts are on the H.P. Eagle and where i can get some from. Mine threw both belts this afternoon:thumbdown:
  21. the bit in the op where he says he is based in Kent is the giveaway here
  22. Whepstead White Horse is a cracking pub
  23. Nick, pm me your number, and we'll see if we can have a deal, but it needs to be all ash, processer size.
