  5. thanks john, good to see your busy as usual, I really must set up my feather edge attachment for my mill, your always welcome to borrow it:thumbup:
  6. Looks good John, did you taper the feather edge?
  7. Maybe because the good ones are in constant demand and get tied up with two or three companies, and the others work for them selves ? Some are not interested in a full time position,as it gives them the freedom to move about if they don't like the team etc,the guys I have and use are brilliant and worth every penny I pay them, just could do with another one lol:thumbup:
  8. Sorry for your problems, but glad I bought a ranger
  9. Certainly not £80 a day round here!
  10. So if you look at the employment, section on here ,there's a crying demand for climbers, full time and free lance, but we have 2.5 million unemployed, surely we should be contacting colleges and schools to say forget your £50k debt for a job that's not there with a degree ,and get yourself a tree surgery qualification/ full ticket job? Cause I and every other person I talk too are crying out for a honest/ trustworthy bloke to work with, who's willing to work and learn the trade. Should I send the recruitment page on here to merriest wood etc? Thoughts?
  11. Are you fitting it too? Doubt you'd get much change from £1200 round here for a bespoke hand crafted one off pair of gates
  12. If you'd bought English it would still be sweet, got my hand made one now for fifteen yrs, and believe me it's been tested lol:thumbup:
  13. Ok, so before I had a telehandler, I'd use building trestles to hold open my 1m3 bags then split logs into them ,moving the splitter round till i had 50 bags done, then either slip a few ££££ to a mate with a loader or rent in a telehandler for the day and stack em in the morning and use the loader moving stuff around my yard to get the rental money,,,
  14. I know I have a few of those walnut bowls around the house and there stunning, cheers steve,I love a good deal:thumbup1:
  15. wish i could hang up my tools in a wooden shed and not have sleepless nights worrying if they`d still be there in the morning,,,
  16. I would so like to add to this post having been wiped out twice ,they? Nicked every thing with a plug,,but as I really don't know who "they" are then I cant ,just guess,,,,and presume it was them!
  17. I love seeing old machinery given a new lease of life, well done you, and I look forward to seeing the old girl working again.
