  3. bet they didnt nick that willow youve got in winnersh, lol:thumbup:
  4. I've got one been out for four days now, nothing👎 neighbour feeds them too much as he's got 20 chickens,I' d be better off shooting his chickens lol
  5. You can buy various stencils on eBay with letters, or buy a set of mdf letters and draw round them, if you've a few grand spare buy a lazer cutter, I free hand mine with a small elu router, good tip is too clamp a piece of wood either side to make a bigger surface area for your router
  6. Definetly an ash, I've milled some over the years and not had much use for it really, very rarely do I get anyone ask for it either, not to say you won't, but better return on splitting it ,and turning it or if milling then ok for chopping boards but can be bland unless some nice dark centre detail, Ash has many uses,it's just finding the right person,
  7. I so couldn't agree more, it chimes for everything, passenger door not locked, driver door, seatbelt, lights , you basically can't leave the key in the ignition, now the seat belt won't recoil, would take it back to the dealer but they went bust😆the other annoying thing is the plastic liner(at a cost) has 30 degree slopes at the bottom of the sides so you can't tie anything up tight to the sides, and the new plastic tie holders are crap, obviously not designed to work just look pretty,
  8. You can still make them on the bandsaw, cut the bottom half inch off, to reuse. As the base, mark it with a pencil so you can rematch, then cut out the circle, switch bandsaw off and take the blade out same entrance cut" easy, I've done shed loads, a fast type of shrink pot:thumbup:
  9. Why not just make them on the bandsaw?
  10. Same as the above! Tree work rarely excites me these days and if I never cut another hedge I'd bee fine with that, my body is starting to show the signs of twenty seven years of lifting, and even though I've some good staff , it's the craft side of the business that gets me up every morning:thumbup:
  11. No worries mate we,ll all wait have a great xmas
  12. Ahhh, now I've got you:thumbup:
  13. Having done a few of these, haven't had the osmo oil cause any problems, and having twenty drunken wedding guests writing with a hot wire pen could be fun:thumbup:
  14. I do a few wooden keepsake plaques for weddings on nice bits of elm,I give them a coat of osmo oil, then the customer uses a sharpie pen, then I recoat the surface with two more coats of osmo, when the sharpie is dry, works a treat:thumbup:
  15. What other forums do you follow? Tree/ wood related:confused1: I need some new search stuff!
