  8. I dont agree with method statements either its all just bum covering stuff because then HSE might have a reason to get monney off you. I dont agree with Risk assesments to be honest were not idiots and im aware that something could make me trip over or that its raining so i may slip i think thats more insulting intelligence yet again designed to cover your arse in the event of an accident What I do agree with is emergencey planning I.E nearest hospital, helicopter landing site, grid reference etc etc they could save you alot of time in an emergencey and could save lifes. I do risk assements but its all crap to me but I do emergency planning because it could save lifes

  10. think you can add another the ones who ego tells them that they can carry on regardless get to 50 relise that they cant carry on hope that they can still get the work in and stay on the ground cant get enough work in try and make it in forestry and there to old to learn forestry hope to be employed in an easy position of course this is not the case for every 50 year old some run there own succesful bussiness years before that. also how many 65 year old will be working for someone commercially climbing? not many so they will not be forced out because there to slow etc. its all rubbish

  16. I would always reccomend the work route its gives you so much experience not just in the industry but about people, work relationships, politics in the work place and of course tea making. If there is none at your way go to arbjobs and re locate if this is viable if you cant afford a place ask the company you join if anyone has a room for a while or find a camp site etc. There is work out there you have to find it. good luck

This way everyone is a winner if we got a machine in there would be one man earning this way there is four: Me, the old boys cutting it and the boss. Thats just an example i do love machinery to make my jobs easier
