Had an incident similar in one of my locals was sipping my pint and mates had gone for a kebab or something and got talking to this older gentleman who turned out me and my boss priced a job for him a week back. got chatting. he then said have I got a bird to which I replied no im I just like to have fun etc etc to which he bellowed and made a busy pub quiet and said that young uns had no respect I agreed with him saying we dont to which he said right thats it outside now. No lie this bloke was talking about his 70th birthday next week i had images of me pushing this bloke away him falling nastily and me being done on a manslaughter so i just sat down a few feet away and laughed myself silly. he soon shut up.
