  1. would a saw realy cause that big of a gash? I no its going to be big but thats pretty fat. I always have a feeling with videos on youtube that there fake. still if not looks nasty
  2. That one i think is cruical make you much more employable in future. If you manage to get any work over the summer see if you can practice in a field or something similar its quite expensive lessons an all

  4. had a chain snap on a 250:001_rolleyes: chain cacth got it didnt even relise as was ride clearing and bored out my scull thought it sounded odd then relised:blushing: didnt even touch my leg
  5. try n do a 3 day course your a qulifed first aider then much more specific, learn alot more etc than first aid at work n emergency first aid. Last 3 years i belive?

  13. If youve got the experience and qualifications surveying could definatley be the way forward for you. Ive heard aerial inspections there could be a gap in the market for so of course your still climbing but doubt it would be as strenuous as cutting.

  19. I work with a bloke whos got one he loves it obviously limited to what she can do but great for light jobs reduction conny topping etc.
  20. what i was saying is that maybe its best to wait until you do your course rather than using ropes and harrness and not knowing what to do with em. You could get yourself into all sorts of bother and then you wont ever be able to climb wait until you know what your doing then do it til your hearts content.

As stephen says nothing is personal on here and constructive critisms Why not book yourself on a course for climbing called cs38/39 you will then understand what bits of kit are about, also it will teach you HOW to climb. I personally would say from this thread that you dont have alot of climbing experience and so booking on a course should be the right thing to do for your own saftey. good luck and welcome to the site.

  25. dont underrstand the slagging off of transits they have got good and bad points as haave alll trucks out there. They do there job and ours works hard, just had new clucth fitted on it but apart from that nothing else wrong with it. Oh and its a pile of poo in the wet and snow etc
