  4. Im not interested in a flashy pick up, it NEEDS tie down points and paint work that isnt afriad to get wacked a few times
  5. I have Vauxhall now, and not sure I can afford a newish landy tipper, although i would love one Anyone got a kingcab with tipper?
  6. Just wondering which pick ups some of you guys use as your firwood delivery truck and if you have a tipping body or not. Gonna be changing my single cab vauxhall this autumn and any feedback would be great. Leaning towards a single cab l200, around a 54/55 plate, at the moment and would probably go all out and convert to tipper. Many thanks
  7. I was out at 6am spraying off barley fields, but of all the days today the sprayers air con packed up and i could only manage till 11am before i was nearly roasted alive. was in the new john deere after lunch, topping. nice number in a cool cab firewood tomoro though...
  8. there is alot of that going around!! jhahah
  9. never measured them but must be fairly standard as one came off a mcconnel and one off a kid bench
  10. Egg, i take my 2 saw blades to essex tool sharpening services at Ridgewell, only a tenner each to get them sharpened.
  11. i cut and split to order so wouldnt be handling the wood anymore, hence why im not worried about vented bags. but yes if you wwere storing wood in them you'd want vented for sure.
  12. If your only delivering in barrow bags wouldnt worry to much about vents. think im gonna purchase some of these off ebay and try them. Sake of £26 might as well try another delvery avenue
  13. not sure i quite understand this but i doubt a hakki pto id any different to any others? are you trying to put a 540 shaft on 1000 spline?
  14. Steve, what rough figure is the weight of truck full and empty of logs? roughly speaking!
  15. Will, where abouts are you based my friend? got a couple of contacts but they are only local to me really...
  16. not brand new, just something with heater that works hopefully!!
  17. I've got a 53 plate corsa van and the thing is superb. and i've slept in the back of it.....with the misses!!
  18. really like your truck steve, giving a conversion like this some serious thought when i change m truck this autumn. you sending out 2 loads at a time?
  19. Think I paid a ton, was nearly 2 years ago mind. Was great when someone was loading the log loc with lengths of timber, not so great when you were doing it yourself and putting saw down each time.
  20. I will do it if my customers ask, but I dont offer. And then I will only stack if my bro is with me or the customer helps and I charge £20 for the privalage. ITs the time it takes that I hate. And some people take the piss, like steve said, oh can you stack in my shed please......you have to go through the garage.......over the rabbit run.......through the gate, which u have to shut each time to stop 3 dogs getting out......
  21. I've got a Log Loc, small suffolk company makes it and works very. BOught it from Wood Fair at Ickworth House last year.
