  1. Sod that!! Mine are £55 each, customers seem happy with the amount of wood at that price. Obviously I'd charge more if I could but hey ho
  2. There is someone around here doing Transit loads at £100, just cant compete with that. I cant see how he is making anything with that price. Hope his wood is crap and more people come to me
  3. 250-300kg bout right i reckon. I do hardwood m3 bags and they are around 350-400 at a guess
  4. Chris, Delete some of your PM's, its not letting me send you one at the minute!
  5. Could be jus wat I'm looking for, was hoping for a trailed spliter with its own Engine etc but for this price I could change my mind
  6. Thanks for that. Had a right result with it and the farmer is bringing the timber up from his wood as he dont want me making a mess of his nice ELS field margins haha. Can cut and split at his so dont have to shack it all back to mine. Wood is all 3yrs old min so should be fine to use this year I'm hoping?!
  7. Cheers mate, took first load out in it today. Was quite surprised how much wood went into the buck, never thought i'd fill the bloody thing up at one point haha!!
  8. Ok cheers. It may well of been there longer but my last Oct (08) was first time on that farm and first time i saw the wood, so just presuming its been cut a year. Could well be longer
  9. Evening all, First post this and very new to this game so please go careful :001_rolleyes Started selling firewood this winter for the first time and going fine so far, plenty of customers calling up anyway!! I'm going to see a farmer friend tomorrow regarding some wood that he has had cut and neatly stacked up in his wood. Its seasoned stuff, well....cut last year anyway and its all hardwood i believe. Would be ideal for me as its nice managable lengths but I don't really no how much to say its worth. I do some spraying and other odd jobs for him so maybe worth doing a deal instead of paying cash for the wood??? Anyway, I spent a few hours on here last night and learnt shed loads, so hopefully you guys could help us out here too. Thanks again
