  1. If it helps the bfg camp. These tyres have got over 50k on them
  2. Picture 10/11 look like some seriously productive pieces of kit! Where's that lottery ticket...
  3. Tree is most likely larch or cedar. Was there soil mounded up against the base of the tree? Those fibres look like aerial roots to me.
  4. I have a new shape focus and have to say its excellent and the build quality across the full range including their new commercials has improved massively. I'm interested in the new ranger. Wild trak with the 3.2 v6 would be a fun one. Although is steep at approx 30k. The limited is the mid range one I think which is a good balance if its gonna be a work/personal. We've had a dmax since jan 2013. It's a good truck. Loads of power for towing but a stiff back end feels all the trailers bumps. Cruises well and the reversing camera a useful option. My gripes with it is that the build quality could be better. It all seems a bit plasticky and the door cards move when you put the windows up. As a work truck it's good and has proven good for our needs but we aren't oversold on it. I think the gearbox can be a bit clunky and the power delivery can be a bit delayed when going on roundabouts.
  5. Sort puts twice the force on if it's tied to a base anchor. If it's just choked at the top then it's the same as regular drt. If it's in a base anchor it's pulling from the bottom of the tree and from the weight of the climber but choked it's just the weight of the climber Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Another handy technique is make sure it hits a branch on the way down scattering it into 20 pieces.
  7. Yep 360g/l is fine. Make sure you are ticketed and using appropriate chem for near watercourses.
  8. Spray it before it drops its seeds. Usually a timeframe of a couple of days between flowering and seeding. The pods burst sending them all over the place.
  9. Are the bars available. I'd have one for the wall! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I had one of those and didn't last a week. The rubber pulling my pockets inside out every time I wanted my phone was a big put off for me. The lifeproof is a lot less rubbery so actually slides in/out of your pocket better. However the cost is significantly more. Loads of fake copies for less than £30. Proper ones you won't see less than £60 generally. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. No difference. Case is rubber/plastic so no metal to interfere
  12. I've got an iphone with a lifeproof case and it's taken some abuse since I've had it. Putting it in contact with something big and heavy won't do anything much good but I found the lifeproof keeps the 'regular' day to day damages out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I'm thinking of doing a night there meeting up with friends Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Apples iphone 4/4s had aerial issues as it's at the bottom left corner of the phone. When the issues were first realised apple said everyone was holding it wrong. I'm on an iphone 5 on O2 and usually always have signal. Although I very rarely go out back of beyond. Maybe the ghetto but Liverpool is certainly good with its strong 3G signal!
  15. LANDYGLASS - HOME PAGE
  16. I would stick with the 346 and put a 13" bar on will be much quicker. The 150 would be good but I think it might just get out of its depth.
  17. we have a hydrocombi 13t and that couldn't get that much done in a day, have you done an arctic load in a day before?
  18. With that tipping body you could put it on top of their car too!
  19. There's a 'group' near me advertising that. Maybe it was them? Or a long distance cousin?
  20. That's a nasty one. Very very quick too. At the end the saw going round the pole reminded me of swingball
  21. They don't like it if you do it on the test though
  22. Back trailer up, kick passenger out, shout 'unhook that will you' job done
  23. Must have Seen you coming. I got charged £50 for mine
  24. It is a big improvement. I managed to get a go of mine the other week and after ringing up with a 25" bar it worked fine. All crisp and comes on well. Doing it once every few months would be fine to keep it in good order needs doing on all my saws tbh
  25. I confirm before the start of the jobs and make sure that they know extra works are happily quoted for. Been stung once for it before by doing extra bits so now I'm more vigilant. Worst I had was trying to do a reduction and customer kept wanting bit more off after ropes had been pulled out the tree. So lost nearly a day extra. Real PITA but not happened since. Tree has since not come back as intended. 'Customers always right!'...
