  1. I have both the Positioner and zillon and rate both well. Actually prefer the zillon as its smoother in operation and releases much better under load. So what the petzl kit comes with rope. One less thing to sort after buying the shiny toy.
  2. My cs100 is now bought and paid for. Doesn't come out too often but when it does its a great time saver. This job would have meant a 75 yard drag through dogleg fences and small gates. Chipper went straight in and probably saved 2 hours and loads of energy. One of the most useful things in the shed
  3. It's more stable than air. Used in Motorsport. Not as easy to come by though.
  4. I charge what the job will stand and add up the costs of everything
  5. An argument with a woman is like reading the small print on a License agreement. You just ignore everything and tick I agree.
  6. Heat gun to gently warm it. If you do it right you don't leave any adhesive. Heat it too much it melts it as you pull it off.
  7. 660 just chillin!
  8. great for relieving the feeling of needing a pee!
  9. the privelidges were revoked because there were constant arguments/heated discussions.
  10. Hi Guys got 3 days work next week for an efficient groundy. If you are interested there are some small climbs to do to help speed up the work. Non essential though. contact me on here or on my phone at 07841128366 Jobs are in St Helens. Paid through invoice cheers:thumbup1:
  11. We have pulled knotweed from back gardens. Big operation. Driveway lined with plastic, all out in bin bags into a skip then it's taken to be incinerated and you need a controlled waste ticket and the skip company has to sort it right too. It's not unbeatable but can be a problem. Most of our control is just fence it off and stem inject it.
  12. We are knotweed specialists based St Helens, give my dad, Richard a ring on 07711004000
  13. There's certainly potential for both. Could see any signs of either from my assessments. These trees pose a higher risk to commercial waters than public access so the work isn't urgent. They have been very much left to their own devices till now. Largest one is 1.5m DBH. Will be looking into assessments of any with cavities at altitude.
  14. I have a number of poplars in similar states to these ones, some worse than others and some with similar wounds higher up in the crown. One has a tear out on opposite sides and now has a gap through the stem. No immediate public risk although there's an informal footpath and a major road near some. I have some down for felling and in a bid to prevent total structural failure of a number of them due to them being P. nigra betufolia I have recommended a plan to reduce them heavily.
  15. Not good. Although it seems that if it happens your not going to hit the deck. Zigzag mk3:
  16. How big do the stumps need to be? We've got a pile of old Christmas tree stumps here but most don't get past 5" stem thickness.
  17. What type of hardwood is it? There's a fair difference between oak/ash/beech/sycamore mix. compared to willow/poplar. Could be interested in a trailer full if the price is right
  18. That looks smart. But that back axle will be forever overweight. What's it weigh empty?
  19. Time for some really anal chain sharpening Can use my new vice too
  20. Bobcat? Tracks are an option on those for the bad ground
  21. I'm not keen on their call centre! I deal with their branch in skelmersdale and it's even better. Had a car quote from the call centre for £1200. The branch was £600! All our vehicles are NFU. Have been for years. Mutual bonus and all that. Landy, Isuzu, transit, tractor, Navara any driver over 25 and me named puts it up a touch but its £800/month. We have never had bad dealings with NFU and will stick with them. Know the branch manager personally too!
  22. Looks like pine. Nice one!
  23. If it was stihl then probably
  24. youll need to use one of dadios jump cuts to clear the lower sections of the buildings
  25. I have one of those stickers in my lockup. Found them on eBay!
