  1. Noise is the winner on this one, (residential care home) tell them in your mothod, Responsible Managment Of Noise, should any issues or concerns regarding noise be raised work will stop and restart again once the prob has been sorted
  2. DUVET DAYS? - SICKYS (mondays and fridays) WORKING FROM HOME IS THE BEST ONE:lol: wish i could, and get paid for it, They are all ...................................
  3. Hows this for an idear, write her a letter, and say yuod like to bring in a consultant to assess the site and that if you are found to be at fault you will rectify the problem- but if not she will have to pay for the report and will have no grounds for complaint.
  4. No wind up, i cant say what my role is in life, but its complex , fun and how i got to this position in life i will never know:lol:
  5. Honey fungus, any old stumps in the garden, dead shrubs or trees? what does the soil smell like? you could suggest you look at the site in the autumn, Honey fungus thrives on Privet, bare root stock planted in a site with Honey fungus two years ago would prob be on its way out now, worth looking into.
  6. make your own forms and method.
  7. Not a lot of people know this but you are within your rights to request the use of a chipper, stump grinder, chainsaw, strimmer or any other bit of kit from the LA as a tax payer as long as you fulfill ther health & safety requirements- contact your LA parks department and ask- tell them your rights. Another THING you and i have to do all the phone calls when we get in after work and price out of hours, they dont, a tax payer paid for girl picks up there phone calls and they price in the tax payers time!!!!!!!
  8. Believe it or not there is in place a procedure to bid or tender for the use of local authority equipment. This issue was raised at a meeting I attended recently. LAs are also in the process of putting together an audit and valuation of all equipment held.
  9. One point I am going to raise as a failure the local authority is that they are offering free advice and quotations, two points here the free advice requires professional indemnity which they don't have and professional qualifications which most only seem to have at level 2 or level 3 at management level.?
  10. Its not got Armillaria has it?
  11. Its a short fence about 500mm above ground level and dug into the ground to a specified depth made of plastic membrane, easy to put up.
  12. Let me tell you another incident, I have a friend who works as an arb for the Local council, who frequently falls asleep in the afternoon waking up late and books it as overtime when hes late going back to the yard due to an over sleep- he is truly a lazy git
  13. I am absolutely appalled by all of this. It's been happening down here in Somerset for a while now. When you consider that the Local Authority used to sub out jobs that they couldn't be bothered to do and now they're competing for everything using subsidised machinery, fuel, insurance and everything else you can think of that it costs to run a business. I think shame on the councils and I hope it all fails for them in due course.
  14. Did you not specify terms and conditions and a term of guarantee ?
  15. Hama on another note im just about to cut down a tree planted by a famous chap!!!!, im not at all happy about it but its gone too far, im not asking what do you think, but what do you think? its been in the news.
  16. Is that picks of you Hama ? and could you not just kick that tree over:001_tt2:
