  1. These threads are getting better by the day:thumbup: ghosts? no but yes- its a mind game or thing, plus fear, plus magnetic electrical brain impulses which then create an illusion in the mind, did you like that? we should discus life and what it means.
  2. Hi Matt, i'm ex forces, i did the IPAF one but it only lasts 5 years so if your recet grant will stretch try and do an NPTC unit it lasts for life i think.
  3. Some good deals on new Makitas on ebay.
  4. All said I think it boils down to who owns the tree and and why is a TPO being requisted? if its your tree there should be no need for a TPO if you look after it as per BS3998:2010 Recomendations, but if there is an alternative motive/reason say issues about a village green, and a tree which you don't own, then wildlife could then be a consideration, but only that, Habitat regs, wildlife&countryside Act then come into play, I have known of a dead/dying tree being TPO'd I did the report, but had it gone to appeal we would have lost.
  5. Of all the ones i'v done Tech cert with tree life was the best and has proved to be the most useful in my line of work.
  6. For weight and performance they are the best and hold great re sale values, just look at ebay, they stand way above the rest.
  7. The LPA may make a TPO if its expedient in the interests of the amenity to make provision for the preservation of trees or woodlands 3.2 Amenity-last bit says- In the secretary of States view, it would be inappropriate to make a TPO in respect of a tree which is dead, dying or dangerous. Hope that helps.
  8. So its all because you can't sing and don't like wafer? lol

  11. WOW is that in the UK? fantastico
  12. I think for those who don't its only when you are at your ABSOLUTE lowest point in your life that to then embrace a belief will turn things around, it worked for me. I now work hard to be a better person but i do still fail miserably, most days:lol: but at least i'm trying.
  13. Ignore the sour comments, each to his own, my views as i'v got older have changed, when i was a young man i was wild and its only these last few years that i'v changed-i did a lot of things which i now regret, which i have to live with, i'v also come through some really horrific experiences at that point in my life i did turn to someone not of this world. I also remeber when i was in the forces the times we would go and see the chaplain for tea and cake and of the very poignant moments when someone died or was killed, and what about rememberance day? yes i believe in god.
  14. Winnie the pooh 'The house at pooh corner' and 'Tree Roots in the Built Envionment' I can't put them down.
  15. I am in somerset. To give you a figure £300 Terms payable in advance of carring out the survey, it could go either way and it could be inconclusive, the cost would include if necessary one sample lab test.
  16. While you are investigating this issue it may be worthwhile emailing your Tree Officer and ask him to confirm the precise location of the tree on a site plan, he should email this back to you and also get him to confirm the species , it may reveal other errors within the order and don't at this point disclose any findings to him.
  17. Apologies if any one is my offended by my words but this is a discussion forum-very well said TomD and WorcsWuss and thats me out too.
  18. you really can tweak them to suit you and make your self stand out above the rest, more and more companys are asking for them so make them to suit what you can do and embalish in them, be detailed, not standard.
  19. Looks much better when you drop a tree across it:lol:
