  1. Whatever type you use, soak it in a bucket of water for a bit first. It makes it less brittle.

  3. All I had to give them was the serial number and next thing I knew, a new pair turned up. My guess is they knew they were a dodgy batch. They were a bit of a let down as they were my first pair of Haix.

  19. Quite a few on eBay at the moment. Look for a 110 HDi.

I used to have 2.0 diesel Peugeot 406 estate that, apart from an issue with the over-complicated electrically adjustable seats which was resolved by replacing them with manual adjust ones, was the most reliable and economical car I have ever owned. I reckon one of them would work for you and would be within your budget too.
