  1. 10t and use a small hand winch to crank it up the ramps?
  2. Must have been an Essex thing.
  3. Not one pink, one green?
  4. I've been working on this site with Steve this week and would add that the quality and size of some of the wood coming out means that it would be wasted as firewood. There is some very mill-able timber there.
  5. I'd be inclined to pop round in person to jog his memory. It's a bit more difficult to ignore somebody on your doorstep. I wouldn't be worried about upsetting a friend as he has shown that he isn't one.
  6. Indeed it does, but how we deal with it speaks volumes about character.
  7. They rarely did before the electric fence.
  8. Makes a change from raw chicken.
  9. Or left one.
  10. I never worry about my cat killing things. He's normally too busy licking his hoop in front of the telly.
  11. Looks like Ganoderma australe to me but I'm no expert
  12. My, how times have changed.
  13. I've got the Echo cs450. Nice saw, can't fault the build quality.
  14. Same here.
  15. To be fair, they gave the customer a discount on tarmacking the driveway on the way out.
  16. Very good advice.
  17. <p>Hi mate. Hope things are good with you and yours. Made my escape from the Taj Mahal on Friday. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Looks like I have the next 6 weeks covered so I wondered if you fancied a trip up to the APF on Friday 19th? I don't mind driving as I still have their truck lol</p>

  18. Looks like I have the next 6 weeks sorted and stuff starting to come in for winter. PM me or call on 07739 556764 if you need a reliable grafter with their own kit for those bigger jobs.
  19. Any business relationship which involves paid labour is reliant on respect and considerate behaviour from both sides. As soon as either party takes the pee, it starts to fall apart.
  20. Speaking personally, I am a free lance groundie myself and I think the behaviour in question here is very poor. If the boot was on the other foot, how pleased would the groundie be if the OP kept cancelling without notice, especially if he told the groundie that he was earning enough to sack off a day's work without caring? Some of us don't do bad. You just need to show that you give good value for the money.
  21. Give it time.
  22. Well, unless you can get by on working 4 days a week, you need somebody who will be more reliable. TBH, your groundie must think you are a bit gullible to believe him when there is such an obvious pattern to his absenteeism. For our sort of business arrangements to work, both sides need to respect each other and he sounds like he is extracting the urine.
  23. Assuming your groundie is s/e, find a new one.
  24. Is it a vole? Not sure from the angle. Great pic all the same. Not too sure about the short tubes in the foreground either, as we did use a range of sizes but I don't remember them being sorted like that. You would have to ask Will as I was subbed in on his job. I do remember the spec being regular rows to allow mower access between but making a more wavey edge to create a more natural effect.
