  1. Trust me,try skidding decent size stuff up a slope without one and see if you still feel the same.
  2. I can see this taking over from the axe throwing at shows.
  3. Sounds like fun although I suspect anything coming down from 150ft wouldn't be particularly low impact.
  4. Can it be loaded with a bean bag round when the climber needs a little encouragement or attitude adjustment?
  5. Politely explain why the job will not be done the way he expects it to be done, giving your requirements and pointing out the necessity of aerial rescue. If he still won't listen, calmly pack up your kit and go home. Some people don't know but some people don't want to know and nothing you do will change that.
  6. There's a couple of others very similar in Herongate and Ashingdon. We attended the funeral of a family friend of my partner a couple of years ago and it was a lovely spot. What was really a nice touch was the family being able to put their father's ashes in with their mother.
  7. Been using one this week on a very steep slope. Invaluable bit of kit with the Portable winch.
  8. I must have just missed you yesterday, Paul. Hope you have a good day today.
  9. Forgot to say congrats on the new site today. The only tweaks I could think of after the first look were unnecessarily complicated on second thoughts.
  10. Really? It only took me that to get back to the Essex coast?
  11. See you on the Friday, Silky
  12. Knew I hadn't imagined it.
  13. When compared to yourself, yes.
  14. I think I remember somebody saying it was next to the Timberwolf stand.
  15. I promise that many of us are house trained.
  16. I suspect it is because the wording declares reckless disturbance to be an offence IIRC.
  17. To be fair, I have been drinking Toilet Duck since lunchtime.
  18. 10t and use a small hand winch to crank it up the ramps?
  19. Must have been an Essex thing.
  20. Not one pink, one green?
  21. I've been working on this site with Steve this week and would add that the quality and size of some of the wood coming out means that it would be wasted as firewood. There is some very mill-able timber there.
  22. I'd be inclined to pop round in person to jog his memory. It's a bit more difficult to ignore somebody on your doorstep. I wouldn't be worried about upsetting a friend as he has shown that he isn't one.
