  1. Definitely. They are in clear breach of contract.
  2. I am toying with the idea of buying an Isuzu Trooper to use as a work van. I am looking at vehicles around the 2003/4 age with the 3.0 diesel lump. I have heard that there were some problems with this engine and wondered if anybody could tell me more, in particular whether the problems were sorted by the time of manufacture that I am considering. Thanks for any help.
  3. Try Hunter and Sons in Southend.
  4. To be fair Simon, he didn't say South East of what.
  5. At that money, he should at least be giving you a Vaseline allowance.
  6. Mate, what you and your friends get up to in private is nobody's business but your own.
  7. You've got some nice timber coming, James.
  8. Always a good day when you find one of his programmes on the telly.
  9. I never knew you were a fan of his, Ian.
  10. Sorry Alec, no Brown Oak.
  11. You're welcome
  12. Not that I know of unfortunately Alec, but I shall check in the morning.
  13. I'm working on this site with Steve and Phil at the moment and would say that there is a serious amount of good milling timber on site. Access is good for lorries and it would be a real shame to see it go as firewood.
  14. AOD/Phytopthera?
  15. It's a tree, not a sheep
  16. Are you sure the toe cap has shifted? On a pair of Haix I have, the leather on the tongue has split, allowing saw dust to get between the leather and the liner. That has worked its way down to the toe area and created a bulge in the liner that rubs on my big toe. I believe this is quite a common problem.
  17. Trust me,try skidding decent size stuff up a slope without one and see if you still feel the same.
  18. I can see this taking over from the axe throwing at shows.
  19. Sounds like fun although I suspect anything coming down from 150ft wouldn't be particularly low impact.
  20. Can it be loaded with a bean bag round when the climber needs a little encouragement or attitude adjustment?
  21. Politely explain why the job will not be done the way he expects it to be done, giving your requirements and pointing out the necessity of aerial rescue. If he still won't listen, calmly pack up your kit and go home. Some people don't know but some people don't want to know and nothing you do will change that.
  22. There's a couple of others very similar in Herongate and Ashingdon. We attended the funeral of a family friend of my partner a couple of years ago and it was a lovely spot. What was really a nice touch was the family being able to put their father's ashes in with their mother.
  23. Been using one this week on a very steep slope. Invaluable bit of kit with the Portable winch.
