  1. I didn't know ASDA did them too. They are nearer than Sainsbury.
  2. Another one for Lavazza here at home, but on site I sometimes have one of the cardboard filter coffees from Sainsbury. They fit nicely on my mug and the smell is just as good as the taste.
  3. Funniest one I ever heard was a guy who worked in the same casino as me some years ago. He had already put his notice in and phoned in to say he wouldn't be coming to work that night as there was something wrong with his eyes. When asked what was wrong with them, he replied 'I can't see myself coming into work'.
  4. I think it's laughable that there is so much fuss about it all. As I see it, somebody who can't control their temper has spat the dummy and physically assaulted another person because they didn't get what they wanted for dinner. There was a meal supplied and Clarkson, like myself, doesn't look to be in danger of starving even if one wasn't.Obviously completely unacceptable among adults and justifiably a sackable offence. Let's face it, hardly a 'fight or flight' situation. Pathetic behaviour really.
  5. Do people buy used needles on Ebay?
  6. Then you need help. It's actually something Geoff asked me to look after for him.
  7. I don't think the OP has done anything wrong. He asked a fair question which had arisen from something he was told. He didn't name his employer, he didn't complain about them and he didn't say he was God's gift. He certainly hasn't done or said anything to cause offence.
  8. Cheers. I wondered where I had left that.
  9. They are a great winch but a bit more of an investment. I did a job last year with one where we chokered large piles of brash and dragged them up the hill to the chipper, saving loads of exertion on the part of everyone apart from the guy running the rope back down the hill. They will pull surprisingly large loads up some nasty slopes.
  10. Hit the nail on the head there.
  11. Can't beat the embarrassment factor. It's always nice if you can time it for when they have guests.
  12. I was happy enough with my final hourly rate of over £100 and the interesting purple colour the manager of that branch turned.
  13. I have only got close to taking one company to court for non-payment( a car hire company who have a high profile and a green logo ). They folded when I stood in their very busy office in front of their customers and very loudly asked for the details of their head office so I could commence proceedings against them. I received a cheque the next day.
  14. Your T & Cs need to encourage prompt payment and punish late. Simple wording in your quote ( not your invoice, which is after the agreement of the contract and so unenforceable) stating that payment is due within x days after which the total is subject to a late payment of y% should have the desired effect if somebody is trying to maximise their profit at your expense.
  15. Just spat my tea all over the cat.
  16. Looks like it was a Travelodge or similar near the A12. Says all the vans there got done.
  17. And that would only be if you can remember what you logged in for.
  18. You could try Lovett's in Wendens Ambo near Saffron Walden.
  19. I did it just now before I read that you lot had already reported it.
  20. Good find!Shared on Facebook.
  21. Alec, it's strange but I was trying to remember the name of that song but all I could remember was the Sunday part. Every time I was trying to find it, I would just end up listening to Lady Day and getting side tracked.
  22. If it provokes an emotional response of whatever kind, it makes it moving in my book. Do you know what the story behind the song is?
