  1. Hope it all gets sorted, mate. I'm around this weekend if you need to collect anything.
  2. Bloody hell, Andy, that's bad. I'll keep an eye out down here. I can lend you a couple of bits (ground saw and rigging kit)until the insurance sorts you out if it would help. Blower as well, if you need it.
  3. You're welcome. I personally don't see any difference in your other half asking for Facebook likes to anybody else. Like I said, don't stay away if there are a few people that get on your nerves. There are people on here that irritate the crap out of me, and I don't doubt I do the same to others. That's just life and if it's too bad, there's always the ignore button.
  4. How's that then? They both work in the business, don't they?
  5. Don't let a few people keep you off a really good forum, Adam. Most people on here are great.
  6. Sounds like what I sometimes get. I have found the tube type bandage helps.
  7. Very nice, mate. Just overcast here.
  8. Have you got confirmation in writing from the manufacturer that it cannot be considered to be a Woodmizer? That would be your leverage if Trading Standards won't help you. Should there be an ID plate/number on it? If there should and it's not there, surely the identity of any renovated/repaired unit is not with the unit and so it can't be a Woodmizer. Hope you get a result with this.
  9. Surely if they had sold us PPI, we could actually get the country back in the black?
  10. Is it not Wonga.com?
  11. I guess I am nearer your Dad's age than yours then. Murdoch's boast after the 1997 election was 'It was the Sun wot won it' and he probably wasn't far from the truth which is unfortunately that the media can make or break people and parties. To be fair, 'Spitting Image' did have a go at everybody as does HIGNFY, although Hislop and Merton do seem to have a particular dislike of Farage. What really annoys them, I suspect, is that he laughs stuff off when they try and upset him on there. As I say, I am no supporter of UKIP but Farage is a very good orator and politician.
  12. Just go straight for the Misrepresentation of Goods angle and get the full refund, assuming you are looking at selling the fake to mitigate your losses. You should be able to get a complete refund without having to sell the item as what he has sold you is fake. Get supporting evidence from Trading Standards as well.
  13. My guess would be the major parties have more friends in PR and the media. Not sure how old you are but the Tories were notorious for scandals around the time of Thatcher. It kept 'Spitting Image' going for years. New Labour became the media darlings and there was never a week went by without some scandal in the tabloids about the Conservatives. Another example would be the recent revelations about Cyril Smith, which were kept conveniently out of the public eye for years by his friends in high places. I suspect that they are all as bad as one another but some have friends with a vested interest in portraying them in a good light, while others have people looking to shoot them down at any opportunity.
  14. I would consider you right. I found it in poor taste when 'Little Britain' used the same phrase. The story explained that Farage found it the same and pulled her up, but the people who were best placed to decide did not want her expelled, nor have they left the party. I also don't see where calling somebody a racist term is part of UKIP policy. By your system, the majority of the parties should be on the banned list for the actions of individual members.
  15. As I said before, it's easy to point and say 'racist' but it depends on what you define as racist. What you describe is not democracy, IMHO. You have to let the majority decide.
  16. I'm saying you seem to be getting a bit over excited with the comments you are making. I'd still like to know your source for the Nazi remark. All I have said is if you don't vote for who you believe in then you should be ashamed of yourself. With regards to UKIP, if you see my comment further back, I am not a UKIP supporter. However, the racism card is a cheap and easy one to play as it is such a blurred line between what is racist and what is merely unpalatable to some people's views. Where actual racism or similar unacceptable views or behaviour have reared their heads within UKIP, it seems to me that Farage has been quicker to expel offenders than some of the other parties. What I do believe is that people should vote for any legitimate party that they feel represents them. That's democracy as I understand it. To turn your own argument around, do you think somebody shouldn't vote for a party if you disagree with their policies? The idea of murderers and paedophiles is just taking the degree of the argument to the ridiculous.
  17. Past your bedtime, I think. I'm not sure which party you think is made up of paedophiles or why I support them. Please do enlighten me.
  18. Really? Who was that then? I'd love to learn more.
  19. If you don't vote for who you want to you should be ashamed of yourself.
  20. Have you seen this page on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/farmwatcher?fref=ts
  21. For spamming, I think.
  22. Best camouflage ever, hiding in plain view. It worked for Jimmy Saville, didn't it?
