  1. Well said. It's a shame people don't behave the same on other threads.
  2. I think it was Rover's thread about how much to pay.
  3. I would have to disagree with that. The apparent level of ignorance in society is staggering.
  4. Thanks for the update.
  5. Apologies, the 'reckless'(definition R v Caldwell 1982) aspect of the offence applies to Schedule 1 bird species. It was introduced in CRoW 2000 to aid prosecution for; Any activity that involves deliberately taking an unacceptable risk. Failing to notice or not considering an obvious risk, which results in disturbance.
  6. The 'intentionally' part is Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 which I think was amended by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 which adds the offence of doing so 'recklessly'.
  7. You will have to take tax, NI, fuel, travel, wear and tear on kit, holiday pay and a bit extra to cover when you are sick or you aren't booked out of that money. Take it from one who knows, £80 won't cut it.
  8. If they were that thick, I'd rather it that way than the other option.
  9. Reckon so, mate. Give me a call if you need to borrow anything.
  10. I meant was TVI only waking up 3 times a night
  11. On the plus side, I suppose it's less to move. Get your head down and I hope little un gives you both a quiet night.
  12. Hope it all gets sorted, mate. I'm around this weekend if you need to collect anything.
  13. Bloody hell, Andy, that's bad. I'll keep an eye out down here. I can lend you a couple of bits (ground saw and rigging kit)until the insurance sorts you out if it would help. Blower as well, if you need it.
  14. You're welcome. I personally don't see any difference in your other half asking for Facebook likes to anybody else. Like I said, don't stay away if there are a few people that get on your nerves. There are people on here that irritate the crap out of me, and I don't doubt I do the same to others. That's just life and if it's too bad, there's always the ignore button.
  15. How's that then? They both work in the business, don't they?
  16. Don't let a few people keep you off a really good forum, Adam. Most people on here are great.
  17. Sounds like what I sometimes get. I have found the tube type bandage helps.
  18. Very nice, mate. Just overcast here.
  19. Have you got confirmation in writing from the manufacturer that it cannot be considered to be a Woodmizer? That would be your leverage if Trading Standards won't help you. Should there be an ID plate/number on it? If there should and it's not there, surely the identity of any renovated/repaired unit is not with the unit and so it can't be a Woodmizer. Hope you get a result with this.
  20. Surely if they had sold us PPI, we could actually get the country back in the black?
  21. Is it not Wonga.com?
  22. I guess I am nearer your Dad's age than yours then. Murdoch's boast after the 1997 election was 'It was the Sun wot won it' and he probably wasn't far from the truth which is unfortunately that the media can make or break people and parties. To be fair, 'Spitting Image' did have a go at everybody as does HIGNFY, although Hislop and Merton do seem to have a particular dislike of Farage. What really annoys them, I suspect, is that he laughs stuff off when they try and upset him on there. As I say, I am no supporter of UKIP but Farage is a very good orator and politician.
  23. Just go straight for the Misrepresentation of Goods angle and get the full refund, assuming you are looking at selling the fake to mitigate your losses. You should be able to get a complete refund without having to sell the item as what he has sold you is fake. Get supporting evidence from Trading Standards as well.
