  1. Yes but only in a triggers broom sort of way
  2. 3 cube per tonne you must be selling balsa do you include your labour in the 50% profit or do you make 50% after you have paid staff or your self
  3. I was thinking I saw them at a show 3 years ago for 54k vehicles loose about 50% of their value in 3 years so why 54k still 25k more like it
  4. You dont need air bags in a defender with that nice soft dash although it could do with being moved about 6ft further forward. I think you could debate all night but you either love them or get a hilux I think its a marmite thing
  5. had a company ring and ask what I did for distribution. I asked of what urine and did not say p**s so kept the moral high ground it threw him so much destroyed his pitch
  6. 25 bugger I get me zimmer
  7. They want something they can build with robots that costs nothing sells for 40k and appeals to the mass market on the school run the chinese and the indians and lets face it they own it dont they. They also make the TaTa pickup and you can drive that with the windows shut. RIP defender
  8. Getting a call from peteb or a machinery dealer is totally different from the usual phone rings 5 seconds of silence while it connects to an operator. Ie computer generated calls. Pete if you ring me I will be very nice Has any one seen the coffee advert when she asks him to ring back again tommorrow
  9. If they are rude enough to call a number on the tps register I am rude enough to use 4 letter words.
  10. If you want to put too many rings on a truck and get it across a soft almost boggy field The defender is the only truck for the job. Tipping half a tonne of logs all day and pricing work 60 miles away I would take the hilux.
  11. I can understand people liking defenders. What ever floats your boat but to say a Hilux is no good and the defender beats all jap pick ups. A lot of jap pick ups are a load of junk not all.
  12. No I dont think so. Nice idea though
  13. Yes I got a reply think they have it sorted now.
  14. I converted all my hedge cutters to aspen. All but one husqy was fine I put it back to pump fuel and it would not start on that either. Eventually found the split in the fuel pipe hidden under a grommet. The problem was nothing to do with fuel but its easy to blame something you just put in the tank. Aspen is expensive but if you have alot of engines u use occassionally its cheaper than constant carb rebuilds pump fuel is now like acid it eats everything especially when it goes off.
  15. No I think you can still have children. The ratchet idea is a good way of getting a bit more use out of those badly ripped corroded ones that look scruffy on your truck.
  16. you dont see an installer with old van or kit. I gave it some thought about 2 years ago but fancy a rest from dealing with the public.
  17. Yes they are all prone to it. With a chainsaw you can run with it and cut bananas but in a wp the bar is fixed and can only go straight down. As the problem starts it starts wearing the bar on one side which just compounds the problem. I used to tickle it with a file 4 times then off to the bench.
  18. Very good game to be in customer showed me the invoice for her stove £400 then with flue and fitting total bill £3500 all done by lunch time. No wonder they are looking for cheap logs. Stuff cutting up wood where did I put that MEWP
  19. I should be alright thanks got a wood burner and a couple of spare generators and an off sw on the mobile
  20. No missed it in my game you would think I would make the effort to see it. I guess it was sensationalised which will mask the small problems we may get.
  21. I was born and bred in Mytchett My middle school was believe it or not St Tarcisius or something similar in camberley. Lived in Andover for 30 years but Mytchett still feels like home.
  22. I remember 1973 ( just ) and 1986 we shall see.
  23. I find stock board really heavy and it goes out of shape and losses strength in the sun. I like the phenolic board they use on trailer floors.
  24. I went to school in camberly and remember the siren it was very eary they used to test it once a week. They were always getting out
