  1. I wouldn't bother with the heated handles. I had it on a 550 and found it never really gets cold enough in this country to warrant it (maybe -25 in Sweden it would be good). Just extra money and extra weight. I've now got a 560xp with 15" bar (3/8 sprocket) and a 20" bar to put on if needed. Puts a smile on your face! I'm gonna say that it is the best saw anyone has made in the history of saws. It's that good. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Very rich landowner relatives. You never know - some of that might trickle down to you
  3. That's made about a mile away from me, good stuff! They've got a farm shop with a butchers, bakery and lots of cizzer! Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Or it might go the other way and introduce loads of numpties to the industry thinking it's like a game. Nah, i'm looking forward to it. Hope it goes well - if you need any game testers - let me know
  5. There's already Woodcutter Simulator 2013 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ8NqfzWmB8]Woodcutter Simulator 2013 Gameplay HD - YouTube[/ame] It is just awful. So anything you make has got to be better! Here's the thread posted on it a while ago... my review of it on the second page. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/52182-not-sure-if-tragic-magic.html
  6. Surely the people saying that 261's are the best are just 261 owners in denial. No way can anyone say that objectively!
  7. Another strange 'oldest thread' bump!
  8. Pardon mate? Don't know what you mean
  9. 6th Jan
  10. Yes all one handed, just pull the tail through. Also alot cheaper - micro pulley - £12, bit of rope £2. Aren't grabs £25+ ?
  11. Yes, wire core is for aiding flipping it up a stem, not for protecting it against a cut. Rope grab's aren't as good as a mini VT knot and micro pulley - you can adjust this setup under load unlike the grab.
  12. Anything to back that up or just a personal opinion?
  13. That made my Christmas. Thrilling. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app

    Channel Trailer

Cool video mate Looking forward to more in the new year.
  15. Sure that's inc vat? Seems too cheap (fr jones is £810 without bar), also 661 aren't being sold anymore, the 660 has been bought back for a while.

    Xmas

It really was! tbf it was one guy from the other firm who didn't cope well with a few pints and kind of ruined it. We were all fine. After that (and after we ditched that guy and his mate) we had a quiet couple of pints at a pub and called it a day alot earlier than expected. Quite eventful but not an experience I'd like to repeat. (one of the reasons why I NEVER go out 'on the piss' in town as there is always bound to be some idiot with far more testosterone than sense)

    Xmas

We went out with another firm, things got a bit messy in the restaurant, bit of light hearted food throwing, then next thing I know there's a scuffle going on and one of our guys has got blood streaming from his nose We were asked to leave at that point. Me and the boss stayed out of it, trying to scoff as much food as possible before the inevitable chucking out. The neighbouring tables looked quite shocked haha! Next year it'll be a one company thing I think.
  18. Last day of work tomorrow, 30mph+ winds and heavy rain all day, then i have a 4 hour drive back to parents inc the Mbloody25! BBC Weather - Westbury
  19. I'd feel bad stinging someone for £1k when their roof has already been caved in on Christmas day. I'd almost be tempted to just go and do it for free if it was an hour or two job. Money isn't everything.
  20. 2 weeks off work! Oh and a ripping chain so i can do some festive milling.

    Uniform

One of the good things about tree surgery is that you don't have to wear a bloody suit or a naff uniform! I sub to a company that has provided me with a few t shirts and I have no problem sporting the teams colours but there has to be a limit. I really don't think a boss making his work force look like branded robots is of any real benefit to the company. As long as the staff are clean, presentable (ie no snoop dogg spliff hoodies etc ) and polite I see no reason to go any further than a company t shirt and fleece/hoody. Suppressing individuality for the sake of a bosses OCD isn't the way to go imo
  22. Is that from stobarts? Wondering if it depends on how far you are from the nearest biomass plant.
  23. it is a commodity - stobarts come to the yard every few weeks and pay £3/ton

    Overloaded

Shame about the low roof, could of piled more on!
