  3. Went in 2003 and had fun, Radiohead and REM headlined (last time anyone good headlined??) I prefer smaller festivals tbh, much better music, atmosphere and you don't have the constant sense that you are missing out on something. oh and £170?? pfft (sure you'll have a blast though )

    How pointless

Why read through a pointless thread if they're that bothered? I'd say most of my posts/threads are pointless, so bye bye everyone...
  7. What are you 'recruiting' them for? Maybe they won't want to be recruited.....

  11. My workmate is getting fed up being paid 56 quid a day (before tax!) being a groundy with 2 years experience. he's 27 yrs old, has mortgage, 2 yr old son etc etc to think about. He said his brother in law works at a chicken factory for £10/hr , £15/hr overtime and saturdays, £30/hr sundays / bank holidays If he doesn't get a pay rise soon he said he's applying!!
  12. Perhaps going without certain things for a while until you get that dream wage would be a good idea. (ie sell car for cheaper one, get rid of sky, cut down on booze, buy cheaper food - not saying this is specific to you) i would say between 20-25k a year is good enough in the current climate, to keep you going (so £60-80 ish after tax)
  13. nice pics, my girlfriends auntie lives in harkstead nr the beach on the orwell, some nice trees and views!
  14. an army truck to convert into a motor home might end up more than a 'few' grand though....

    Birds!

Did I say I put birds through chippers? No. Did I put a 'sneaky' symbol (for what it's worth), after the question, implying a joke of sorts? Yes. You are the first person to misunderstand it....
  16. It's probably my girly, sensitive skin that's the problem That would be great Yve, thanks! Let me know and I will give them a proper test!
  17. i haven't used my 'safe eyes' goggles for a while now, just because they are so uncomfortable! i thought they may have some soft padding that fit to your face without any gaps. infact they have a thin, hard plastic and the only way to get rid of all the gaps round the edge is to tighten the straps to the point were they are almost drawing blood! (will the mk2 safe eyes, with soft padding be coming out soon?) will be getting some of those stihl ones jonsie mentioned

  25. Nothing too exciting, but dismantling a spruce is heaven compared to the relentless L/A deadwooding we have done over the last week!
