  2. will do mate - boss is on holiday til next weekend...
  3. fr jones and son are much cheaper than seddon. look there or any other of the advertised retailers on here...
  4. they don't work anyway! i have been through several speeding and never had a ticket. (i don't ever speed in built up areas, villages etc, couldn't live with killing someone)
  5. it's a shame i hate the mac os, otherwise i would go for it. windows 7 is temperamental at times, but when it's working it's great. if you are looking for a reliable, cheap to fix, non apple laptop, get a desktop
  6. put a 911 gt3 engine in it! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6rmH4vERsM]YouTube - VW Van with a GT3 Engine[/ame]
  7. wow! can't wait to start making stuff like that
  8. no3 -£5
  9. Someone told me that it's bad for the hydraulics, or something to do with the tipper mechanism, to have the tipper a little way up when chipping into it. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with doing that, but i thought i would ask people who know. cheers
  10. one you can get new with warantee, one you can only buy in 10+ year old battered condition
  11. thanks for the reply rupe - i'm still learning so want to know everything about everything, even if i come across annoying
  12. the white landy tow's the chipper
  13. i'm not sure mate, i was hoping you could tell me...
  14. good work - if you don't mind me asking, what was the reason for reduction? seems a good location for letting them do their own thing
  15. only pics i have on here quite a large oak (for me), mainly just the top reduced and alot of large dead removed. and a walnut 10%
  16. hmm... my workmate and i were thinking of offering the boss £x for it and we make some flyers up and try to shift as much as poss this autumn/winter - might even be able to borrow a small processor, if not, we are more than up for hand splitting it if there's enough profit
  17. thanks for the replies if we do ever get rid of the lot, i'll let you all know the weight and what they paid.
  18. ok, is there a rough guide to the weight of unsplit cordwood stuff, per m3 ? i like how you said the 'nicest stuff', as if talking about other wood it is a bit of a crappy pile, but not the worst, i.e. none of it is rotten
  19. It's about 35ft by 20ft by 8ft, half has been outdoor seasoned for 2 yrs, the rest from 2yrs-recently cut. Various hardwood, mainly ash, syc, cherry, oak, elm various lengths and widths. taking up way too much space in the yard and we don't sell nearly enough firewood to warrant keeping it all. corner of transit for scale
  20. no2- £20.01 actually, £22
  21. i think the idea of the auction is to go up in price anyway, no2- £15
  22. No 7: £22
  23. i want one just based on this post
  24. re: scottythepinetree we have two transits both 53 plate, bit underpowered, but we are never in a rush also, we never smell anything coming from the clutches - even when rammed full of chip with chipper. unfortunately they aren't crew cabs, would love one!
  25. Some people say the low vibe isn't as good through thicker stuff, although i haven't noticed any real difference (between stihl low vibe and normal oregon stuff)
