  16. There seems to be quite a few people with iPhone's on here so i thought i would share this info. Open iTunes. Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone. Listen to the song and find the part of it you want to use. The chorus may be a good place to start. Write down the start and stop times of the clip. Right-click the song and select "Get Info." Click the "Options" tab. Type in the start time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Start Time" in the minutes:seconds (i.e., 2:01) format. Type in the end time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Stop Time." Make sure the ringtone is no more than 40 seconds long. Click "OK." Right-click your song again and select "Convert Selection to AAC." Wait for iTunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version. Right-click the ringtone and select "Delete." Click on the "Keep Files" button. Find the file. It's usually in your User folder under "Music > iTunes > iTunes Music" and under the band's name. It will have an extension of m4a. Replace the m4a extension of your ringtone with m4r. You can either double-click slowly to rename your file, or right-click and select "Get Info" on a Mac or "Rename" on a Windows PC. Click "Use .m4r" or the PC equivalent when the system warns you that the change may affect the use of your file. Double-click the ringtone file. ITunes will automatically add it to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library. Connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones. Enjoy
  17. just to add to your headache, you should consider this wide angle lens with the canon for some awesome landscape pics of the forest, or to fit as much of a redwood in as possible. http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/dclenses/10-20mmEX.htm
  18. so will i, but this is handy to chuck in the work van as a spare for £2.49
  19. A bit misleading, but this is still cheeeap nonetheless. I'm off work today with a bad back/neck and i thought i would do a bit of Bavarian shopping in the form of Lidl! I stumbled across a garden equipment special which i presume is nationwide (this was the Stowmarket Lidl). The have extendable loppers, extendable branch cutters (just loppers that can cut larger diameter stuff), extendable hedge shears, tarps, garden waste bags and these hand saws complete with scabbard. I thought i would give it a go as it was £2.49, will be handy as a spare. upon inspection it seems quite sturdy with hardened blades and a comfy handle. i haven't had a chance to test it on an actual branch but it seems up to the job.....
  20. I would have to say the canon for this application, just because of the way the sensor picks out the colours. Is that rebel camera the 500d or 550d? Either way they are good. The video quality is amazing aswell, go on YouTube and watch some vids on fullscreen.
  21. well, i'm not going to argue with you as you seem to have quite a..err.. strong opinion. all i can say is that i'm a country boy through and through. all the things you mentioned i don't mind. even when they were muck spreading recently i didn't mind it i even had a bash at bell ringing as a youngun (ohh err!) at our local village church. they used to practice for about an hour on a weekend afternoon which is reasonable, but 5 hours of relentless 1000dB bells that seem to be operated by chimps does somewhat disturb an otherwise peaceful day. as i said earlier though, they have stopped for another 6 days
  22. Haha! I wake up at 6 Monday to Friday, so deserve the occasional lie in. I'm only young, I need my ugly sleep!
  23. they had a tour this weekend but i only found out about it an hour ago when reading fridays bury free press.....
  24. just confirmed a couple of people so could you dispose of this thread steve? thanks
