  1. i think this is one of two times i have ever worn a beater, and it happened to be on a job where the customer (male) was really snap happy (should i worry? ) can't beat it for when its humid and 28 deg +

  3. Thanks for that info, a friend has just bought a car (only a £650 car, but even still...) and after 2 weeks of having it, the rear susp is buggered and the throttle cable snapped. I'll let them know of this post haste!

  6. feel for you. the trouble with being young (ish) is that you can't afford a car worth more than one or two grand, and they tend to be trouble after a year. in the 6 years since passing my test i have had an escort, an astra, a ldv 400 van, a pug 406 saloon, a nissan primera and now this bloody shed on wheels! if i add up all the money spent on those cars, i could of bought a fairly new car and still be running it now! oh well, stuff happens....

  8. Willow pollard from today, over a chicken run, shed, greenhouse, nice shrubs and a pond. lovely! Looks like 2 stems on the first pic, there was a third going back....nice sunny day for it!
  9. £160 to bodge the wires that were damaged, got 500 metres down the road and it stalled, wouldnt start again. towed back to peugeot garage and will have to fork out £150 for a more in depth bodge job.... now driving a shitty little 107 super mini! oh yeh, the cost of a new wiring loom for the engine bay is £1300. told them to f off, the whole cars only worth £700! hmmm.... Audi A4 tdi estate time i think....

  17. Well, after 9 months i finally got some Meindl Burma's! Well chuffed, they are comfy straight out the box and are getting more and more comfy each time i wear them. I got them for £148 from a shop in Narwich which is a good price - didn't fancy buying them from t'internet without trying them on etc. They had a mini assault course to test the hiking boots I highly recommend them to anyone.

  21. Went to start the car today and saw the dreaded electronic immobiliser warning light - I'm fairly sure that's quite bad, yes?... and expensive? I'm a 30 min drive from work so can't get there. hmm... Another bad luck thread! Roll on 'lucky' October!

  23. nasty! i presume if he was standing with a correct posture, firm grip, front hand behind the brake and not using the tip of the bar to cut, it wouldn't of happened... (not that i was doing that whilst cutting logs yesterday of course)
