  1. Call me about John Hurle TCD (its all good BTW lol), chatting to him the other day.......
  2. I am just going to get rid of my lanyard TBH and stick to two ends of my climbing line. I hardly ever use the damn annoying thin anyway.....although the distel/ micro pulley does have its place for sure.
  3. Send him an amended bill for his incompetence and your wasted time.
  4. It still hurts with a helmet on, but saves your skull/ life. A must at all times.
  5. I have always had between 2" and 10" overlength on 5m sawlogs when supplied.
  6. They are crap is my best idea. I have one which i have only had a few months and TBH i hate it. Gutless compared to the 361 it replaced and acts very strangely on startup.
  7. I think a very heavy reduction on that beech would be the death knell anyhow. down here about 30% on a beech is the max you can get away with on a mature tree. Beeches struggle on the whole in cornwall anyway though. However, what do you have to lose if the other option is to firewood it? A habitat mono would tick all the boxes- elimination of danger to targets, creation of habitat and lots of lovely firewood to boot. If you did do the reduction and the tree died then back to plan A anyway.
  8. You would have to be going some to tip that thing over.....the weight is large and low down, and you have the legs etc. Besides, its more of a reflection on modern HSE society than the ACTUAL danger that machne IMO.
  9. What a great tool!! Like you say Huck, shame about ther front bucket.
  10. YOu could try RobD on the forum too.
  11. Am i right in thinking that websites using flash player wont work on the i=pad......which is a bit of a problem seeing as 25% of websites use flashplayers, and the number is increasing. Apple cant control it so wont allow it.....
  12. I dont use a ropeguide....I never climb past the top rung of the ladder....its dangerous up there:lol:
  13. If knowledge IS power, then i reckon i must be completely powerless...
  14. Reg, your pics and videos will be sorely missed when you leave our shores. thanks for posting more brilliant pics!! They were some mighty big pieces you were playing with there!
  15. Gotta be the ultimate 4x4 tow motor TBH.
  16. Not heard anything about this, but I take it that the big kid had benn the subject of bullying by the other kid? I hate bullies. I was lucky to not have received it, but my little bro did and it didnt do him any favours at all.
  17. Very good point Nick. I regularly see farmers towing heavily laden Ifor cattle boxes bulging with bullocks, easily weighing up to the limit, no problems. As long as the nose weight on the drawbar is as it should be and the tow vehicle runs level, then there shouldnt be any worries.
  18. This is true, and something i am attempting to sort on my defender at the mo. However it is VERY expensive, so maybe not lol!
  19. The limit for a ranger is 2800kg. http://www.uktow.com/towing%20capacity.asp#tab1
  20. I would love too......wife and child regardless at the mo....
