  1. i pad 3 will be september not august.
  2. What do you mean 300tdi re-mapped? There is no ecu in a 300tdi defender, or have you a disco?
  3. Mill auto for the ones at the back. Britax, £45 each. Internet for the ones at the front. not as good but ticked some boxes at the time.
  4. That battered looking thing is possibly one of the most mechanically A1 landies out there......
  5. Land rovers are crap. I would never buy one. WTF i already have one?!?!?!
  6. You can buy 100gb of ram now....for about £60!!!!!!!!!
  7. Its only an in-fill to keep suckers spending till the i-pad 3 is released in afew months. Dont be taken in by the bull. The i-pads have a MAJOR failing. Due to apple being so up their own arse its unreal, they wont allow flash sites to work on the ipad.....unlike android based machines....because they cant take flash over for nothing (like they did with linux/ ibuntu and falsely claim it as there own whereas its actually free software,) so 25% of sites simply wont work on the ipad.....ever. Dont be conned by these pretty and overpriced POS guys, wait a touch longer and the android system will p155 all over the rip off that is apple i-pad.
  8. Got some husky thigs that Timbercutter dartmoor gave me, possibly tech A's- VERY comfy trousers.
  9. You can buy very good machines from Asus. You will probably never have heard of asus, but they make 99.9% of all motherboards fitted to computers (macs included) today.
  10. No, but both traits can be displayed by more than one person:001_rolleyes:
  11. And crap. the only really good thing is the perkins engine. Had several of those dodge 50 based trucks, and the build quality, esp on the brakes and bodywork, is atrocious.
  12. Im not sure if you are referring to me with your comment ragrding flippancy Tony, but in case you are, then I have tpo say I couldnt agree with you more. Unfortunately I find the hypocrisy of arborists and self proclaimed tree care officionados who then boast about having forcibly removed road protesters as abhorrent. There was a thread quite a while back where more than one member pretty much boasted about the eviction of these people, who in that thread were denegrated, referred to in all levels of derogation and generally portrayed as scum of the earth. I find this Thatcherite, luddite and wholly short-sighted attitude stomach turning, and USUALLY portrayed by ignorant bigots, who are little above the intellectual level and psycological prowess of pond scum. I am sorry to have derailed your thread in this manner, but my feelings on this are possibly as strong as your feelings (which i share to a large degree, as, i am sure, do others) on the issue raised in this thread. I will not mention it again, as i think my feelings are now fully evident.
  13. Tony I think you may have totally missed the point of my post:confused1:
  14. Yes but the flipside of that argument is also that we are constantly told that we need this stuff by those that make these products. There are a gazillio products out there that are unnecessary, but a manufacturer will tell us its the next top thing to have to have, and sometimes even stop selling the existing model so that we have no choice but to buy the so-called improved version......eg the ms362 chainsaw etc etc. The cynic in me wonders for whose benefit this R&D is actually carried out:sneaky2:
  15. Nice bench Stu. Did the bullocks use it?
  16. This is exactly my point...a MASSIVE reinvestment is required, and a downturn in the reign of the car. Open up all these local stations again, improve the local bus services, and increase railfreight. It is sooo much more ecenomical.
  17. A reinvestment in the railways would be an excellent idea. Dr Beeching was a knob. It would save a whole load of environmental Issues......just unfortunate that the planned route involves a load of ancient woodland.
  18. Hahahahaha....you're wrong there...it DID, but i sorted it.
  19. YOu should get a bit more landy than that, but yes, they do hld their value. Unless you really need 4x4 then get something cheaper. If you need the best 4x4 performance in the weight bracket, then its your only choice. BTW mine is a 1995 300tdi. It doesnt leak oil, and it doesn't let water in either.
  20. It is good firewood, but you musn't start reducing the price for taking the logs away- explain to him that there is no money to be made from tree surgery arisings....certainly not what it would cost you to remove the wood, store, split and deliver it.
  21. That is terrible. 'Not life changing'??????? WTF???? Poor guy. Cities.......terrible places.
  22. Yellow aint too bad once it gets dirty....
