    vermeer 935i

No you dont:confused1: I put mine up behind the defender no problem. Awesome machines, as are all vermeers:thumbup1:
  2. No ghosts then Rupe?
  3. It was an adjustment as teh chip wasnt flying as far as it ought to. The diesel revs slower than the original petrol did. I eventually had a bigger pulley fited, and put the spout back to where it should have been, and the chip went miles after that.
  4. Did you see the ghosts while you were cutting that tree Rupe? Its supposed to be haunted that Banqueting hall!!!
  5. A pole saw would be a very good idea.
  6. TCD, you just won the lottery then mate? Good effort:thumbup1:
  7. You have a great machine there, which will serve you well for years if you so wish. They are the most overengineered machines i have ever come across.... For bearings and belts etc use Brammer. Vermeer are extortionate on parts. Here are my old 620 which i had for about 8 years and fitted a 32hp deutz diesel to, which was just unstoppable and my present 935i which i resprayed....after lots of teething problems it is now phenomenal....like a vermeer should be IMO they are pretty much the best machines out there.
  8. Yeah, but Rupe....it is WELL sexy!!
  9. I live in cornwall and grew up in dorset...... Can i have my trousers now?
  10. Imagine a circle and a square laid on top of each other. The corners of the square are outside the circle, but the straight edges of the square are inside the circle if you can imagine it. It allows for the buyer to pay less for the slab wood/ waste, yet the seller to be compnsated somewhat for the fact that teh buyer isnt buying every last scrap of wood in the log:
  11. What an excellent thread. Rarely does one get to see the progression of a trainee/ apprentice etc etc, and pics up to the usual high standard too. Nice one David. After a stressful day moving house, a fine way to take my mind off things. Thanks, and best of luck to young Tom. .
  12. No it doesnt...that is basically the point of hoppus foot, otherwise we would all be using top diameter, as in softwoods. The measurement is MQG squared in inches, times the length in feet of the log, divided by 144. Its the fairest way to both the buyer and seller.
  13. That is awesome Josh. Way cooler than a mog i reckon!!!
  14. Thats about the last place you want to look for mogs Treemon.......
  15. That is a VERY nice piece of yew!
  16. V8s are available in the range rovers and discos i think, but no petrols in defenders as far as i know.
  17. Heres what i have been doing (again) to my landy today....Filled it 5 times.....the chip box is 6' by 5' by 4' high....not sure of the weight, but about 2 tonne i think. All hardwood chip....
  18. Ah. Ok. The discos did have a basic ecu situated below the windscreen i believe.
  19. Couldnt agree more. IMO better than any mog set up etc. Parked illegally the other day for five minutes, had left the beacons on by accident, and came out of the computer shop to find a traffic warden examining the landrover. He let me off, saying he didnt think there was much tree work going on round there at the time. what a star:thumbup:
  20. No, you're right david.
  21. Thats awesome Drew!! Seen a few of these sort of precariously hanging trees...I will have to try to get some pics!
  22. A mat of mine has a 3PL botex crane. Works well.
  23. I just ran 2 battery leads from the battery to an anderson connector at the back of the landy, then the same to the front of the trailer. Works fine.
  24. No there isnt.
  25. Thats from a well known apple insider....
