  1. BAd luck mate- total bummer that.
  2. it hit 24 degrees today where i was!!! Dismantled a couple of 50' sycs over a load of wires.....it was rather warm!!!
  3. Those hankooks you mentioned are a MT not an AT, so WOULD look better equipped for mud.
  4. Yeah that makes sense- the parts are hugely pricey. Thats one cool looking truck though.
  5. Yes even the ATs are very capable off road.
  6. Blimey!! Imagine what he could do with rope and harness!!!!!
  7. WOW!!!! Wonder why they changed it FROM 6x6 to 6x4?
  8. Tonnage is pretty much irrelevant TBH. Volume is how it ought to be measured.
  9. Not sure it does!! It is an amazing tool. He brought one bak a few years ago, and we gave it hell for ages, cuting aroung bits of granite and all sorts with no nasty lethal throw-offs of bit of metal, The H&S issues with the brogio one were due to the fact that the ordinary chain it used wasnt up to the job, Chainsaw chain is so tough that this wasnt an issue, and it left a fine mulch of everything it cut.
  10. Italy. I have trawled the net to find one, but no luck, and have lost my mate's number now.
  11. Its not the Brogio, and in Italy no its not......he works out there.
  12. They generally go into the scrap pile, although some go to a mate with a brushcutter attachment that uses them for the cutter......its from italy abd absolutely awesome!!
  13. Dean- you see that beautiful stone wall along the side of your drive....I reckon the lower part of it, where your house name is, is probably high enough for you to bang your head against without having to kneel down......
  14. Surely there are other places than Tavistock chainsaws though???...
  15. Canon make big bards that are good, and Rob D on the forum here who is the man for alaskan mills recommends the GB bars that he sells. Get in touch with him as you will get excellent advice and service from a really good guy.
  16. I have always just chucked my ropes in the washing machine as they are, at 30 degrees with about 1/4 the normal amount of powder if they are sappy...including 50m of 16mm liros, no probs to the machine......have some of you lot had busted machines from this?
  17. That is the biggest reason not to get one for me...........you either have to have them touched up or put up with the effects of a living, moving, stretching, sagging canvas.....
  18. As Hama says, the chain brake is inside the casing and wil not get a proper clean unless the side plate is removed. I only generally use an airline, but several times a year will do a thorough clean, getting right in all the concealed bits and diggin out all the oil and sawdust bits that have turned to a substance that resembles rubber. Its worth going to all the trouble (which TBH it isnt much trouble) to make your saws last for years and last in proper working order. And 6 months of dirt is just that- six months worth, so will not be replaced in just a day.
  19. Very good find Andy. Like you say- those high lifts can be a proper pain to carry on top of all the other kit.
  20. Crikey you guys work fast.... Good video. I like that.
