  3. Plan 9 from outer space....
  4. I wonder if there will be a thread on arbtalk in the future about a bunch of hairy tree hugging great unwashed digging themselves into the ground and trashing diggers in attempts to stop this rail link, and how many (if any) members will proudly condemn the same people and happily explain how they helped to get these scum out of the way of progress......
  5. Ring the police and INSIST that they do something about it. A customer of mine had a load returned after the police were given the numberplate of the thiefs car.
  6. :001_cool:Not a problem TCD, its certainly not your fault that i dont like it....you KNOW that what i replaced that saw with was NEVER going to live up to it:blushing:
  7. Used them for ages. They are chunky, but offer loads of support and are pretty much bombproof.....I MIGHT have one for sale in good condition at the right price.....
  8. He was the pizza delivery guy from dominoes!!!!
  9. Sent this email this morning.. If you've ever worked for a boss who reacts before getting > the facts and thinking things through, you will love this! > > Feeling it was time for a shakeup, the company hired a new CEO. > > The new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers. > > On a tour of the facilities, the CEO noticed a guy leaning against a > wall. > The room was full of workers and he wanted to let them know that > he meant business. > > He asked the guy, "How much money do you make a week?" > > A little surprised, the young man looked at him and said, > "I make $400 a week. Why?" > > The CEO said, "Wait right here." He walked back to his office, > came back in two minutes, and handed the guy $1,600 in cash > and said, "Here's four weeks' pay... > > Now GET OUT and don't come back." > > Feeling pretty good about himself, the CEO looked around the room > and asked, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-ball did here?"
  10. Bad news. Sorry to hear of yet another one.
  11. You must have had cooling issues David, as i tow a 2 tonne chipper and chip box full, in all weighing easily 7 tonne all day with a board infront of my rad to give me winter heat that i dont bother removing except in the summer, never had a problem. I regularly tow my ifor way overloaded, plenty of distance too with no problems. I think the moral of the story coud be to ensure one's cooling system/ water pump is clean and fully functioning. Landrovers were designed to work in desert heat! I believe that the transfer from a disco is only different in the low ratio too, but i might be mistaken there. If loaded correctly and the brakes are working properly on the trailer, this wont be an issue, even if overloaded.
  12. Loving the Duck pics David!!

  16. wish they sold them in the uk. I would change my defender for one of those any day.
  17. NIce kit Franco.
  18. Apocalypse now- brilliant film. I didnt like the re-release with the director's cut as much though. Disneyland? ****, man, this is better than Disneyland!
  19. I would have one of those like a shot, over a landrover any day.
  20. Wind your neck in mate:biggrin:. You know NOTHING of the circumstances of that picture.
  21. In fact, i cant see any justification at all. The 2 years it takes in R&D and CE marking is no justification at all given the number of items sold worldwide, the minimal (apparently) changes/ improvements oover the last few years, and on top of that the miniscule number of times that these things are actually needed. I mean, how many of us chuck away these garments because they have been cut with a saw and have actually served their intended purpose??? Very few indeed. I imagine that the number of memebrs of this forum that have had a chainsaw actually cut into the kevlar layer is minute. One gets a bit bored of hearing the rhetoric from the makers and HSE etc TBH.
  22. I wouldnt entertain buying stretch airs out of principal. We are doing this jjob to make money for ourselves not Pfanner. I see now that the stihl tissue-flex are up around £200 inc the dreaded now. WTF????? Like you say Mark- a joke, and a bad one at that.
  23. Top film:thumbup:
