  4. I require the help of an experienced qualified climber in Porlock, Somerset for 1 to 2 days from the 16th April on large ash reduction. Half is clear drop the other half is to be rigged down. Pictures of recent work preferred and high standards essential, accommodation available and my lead to further work if goes well. Message me here or call 07747192369 Cheers Sam
  5. BG 86 Is what I use and have to say I have been really impressed for the money and is a hand held so you don't look like a council worker.
  6. No idea but I use tap talk to uplad pics and works fine.
  7. Mine has hydraulic legs and is ex Brandon and lasts all day long even with constant moving of legs. Charging it of the generator during lunch may be the reson why it doesn't last long as will destroy the battery it needs a good 16 hours after running the battery completely down but if you use one with a good battery you can get away with over night charge after use to keep it topped up. Hopes ths helps. Sam
  8. Try Access Platforms | MEWPs | Nationwide Platforms may be best bet If not I have 120 but would not be cheap bringing it from Somerset and would come with operator.
  9. Try running it stationary I didn't notice mine at first, does it run fine when running on full throttle for 10 seconds or so. Could be cracked lines could be more serious.

    Help

I am having real trouble Identifying this tree, have a couple of ideas but nothing solid. When cut smells almost like a lime all leaders go straight up and is about thirty foot high. Has the bark similar to laurel or holly, will try and get pics of whole tree tomorrow but might just be a common tree with very uncommon characteristics. Thanks Sam
  13. Well done Fiona. How you doing in the world of pole climbing.

    what van

Can also recommend berlingo and 2k budget will get you a good one. Will say best get an hdi engine version and make sure cam belt is replaced after 90k. I bought one as a survey vehicle but have used it for so much more; tows well and carries m3 logs better thank mk2 transit and fuel economy is fantastic. The only thing I would change is having a sliding door but every thing else is top notch. I did look at connect but for a good one you need a bit more cash and is only a bit bigger, berlingo has a folding down passenger seat but not as good as connect but good for the money. I have also found the stalk cluster controls very useful so worth it for that alone (I know a bit dull). Sam
  18. Perfect for what I need sorry for late reply, how wide is it, do you have some available?
  19. Austria duo 2 and Skylotec Kolibri here.
  20. I don't think you can ever be over qualified for any job but I have had my share of contract and sub climbers over the years and the ones I always rely on are the ones that are trust worthy, honest and reliable if you have these traits then you will go far. Your employer should only ever need someone with proven technical ability not depth and understanding of why work should be done so look for more practical tickets if you want to go down the contract route.
  21. My stab in the dark Unlobed Sassafras Albidum.
  22. No worries and fantastic prize for someone from Help with Trees.
  23. Donated but not yet bought any, thanks Steve prizes are looking fantastic this year.
  24. How do you enter or is it a prize for the raffle to which I am still to buy tickets.
