  1. Good job, make sure you get pics lol.
  2. So are there two take downs or one? Or you reducing?
  3. Any pics of job? I'm a bit far away but like to see what the jobs like. Like your website btw.
  4. The very one. Your not to far from me looked at some work there the other day. Who you work for and do I know you, turns out arbtalk is a small world.
  5. Well picked it up today 400 in the end, to say been quite impressed with gearbox which was my main worry but not spent much time on it yet, it's getting a baptism of fire next week so will find out then if it is really up to the job. I will try and get pics tomorrow.
  6. Don't sell to competitors. It's all sold now anyway.
  7. Hi Boobin, where are you based as may want to look at tracks in the future. I have decided that electric winch is not needed so will get a Lewis instead. The quad will have other duties in the future as well so worth while investment. I have ordered bike should be picking it up at end of week will post pictures when I pick it up. I was hoping to use horses for the job but is just not feasible now as weren't granted the permission to use extra land that I hoped. Thanks for everyone's help in making the decision for me. Sam
  8. Sorry it's the foreman 400, may think of trx420 or trx500 now. My last quad trx350 was bomb proof. I am just a little worried about all those electrics. Dobin, hill is near vertical in places with no run off as at bottom is a deer fence followed by drop onto house. There is one very steep old footpath which joins only flat bit which is a footpath 3ft wide. Not allowed tracked machines due to SSSI status. I did think of Lewis winch as an alternative as would come out same price but due to steepness I may want to lower some of the branches with quad winch. When I last had the quad when it was used it was invaluable but did not have a lot of space then so was first on the list of things to get rid of. Now got more space so storage is not a problem.
  9. I wanted to avoid 500 as did not want anything that large, also looking at 420 just because its newer. When I had 350 permenant 4wd was a bind, I may give the winch a go myself and if it goes peat tong then take it to garage. Aren't I limited on winch size due to battery I thought rt25 was biggest but if it will take 30 then ideal. Can you put up a pic of quad for me to see. Cheers
  10. Hi Rich, the work site is an absolute nightmare this is the winch I'm after Warn Industries - ATV & Side X Side Winches: Series RT25. I need it to pull up large timber via a snatch block onto a loading bay so will need to use it a lot. The other option is to buy a Lewis winch as they come out about the same price. But a winch would be handy for recovery and other smaller jobs but primary job will be to pull awkward timber where there is no access to just pull with rope. Swinny, I have pulled a 150 with the 350 but would not recommend it on uneven or steep ground as the difference between weight makes the timber wolf in control in event of sliding.
  11. Thanks for input, how easy was it to mount winch? Was quoted 4 hours by local seller, but added to price of winch and mounting kit comes to around £900. I know the 350 was a good puller so hope along the same lines with this one.
  12. Make sure the council doesn't chase you for not having correct planning in place for a lake.
  13. Hi all, I sold my Trx 350 over a year ago now because it wasn't getting used enough. I now need to get another one quickish, I have available to me a trx400 fourtrax, auto but switchable to electronic manual, it also has selectable 2/4wd. I had no problems with my previous quad, and I like the idea of having selectable 2/4wd. The quad available is the same age as my old one was 2003), but being repaired to have coil rewrapped and getting an over oiling issue sorted. I would like to hear from people with genuine experiences (not just googleing it for me as I am quite capable of doing this myself) with this bike as am a little worried that all the fancy electrics and gear box might give me headaches in the future where the 350 was very simple. Cheers
  14. Does anyone have the contact number for this company. Need to order a trailer ASAP and can't seem to get hold of anybody. Cheers
  15. I have wide feet and find the fit on hiax to be excellent.
  16. No problems with mine, fantastic bit of kit.
  17. Hi Liam, give me a bell tomorrow, any chance you have a blue hilux? Also am in Porlock working so can be on site at anytime.
  18. I think it excepts visa in USA but not UK for some reason, I Really like the idea and it does seem quite well priced I think it just needs more time.
  19. I went on App Store to look at reviews it wasn't good, shame really not sure it would be used every day but would help with payment.
