Not that is is much help now but will have 50-60 tonnes of Ash this winter available, had no issues with felling licences this year. -

I would recommend it as you will be dealing with working outside bucket and felling near to bucket. MEWPS don't take a lot of tipping over especially if you drop a limb on them the dangers will be similar without the use of chainsaw.

NPTC CS30/31 IPAF MEWP and NPTC47 (though I personally don't know anyone who has done this), if your doing this professionally don't forget insurance.

Depends if your charging for it. If your doing it for yourself then no not a legal requirement but would recommend it, again most hire companies wont ask for ipaf ticket with mewp but worth having one.

Hi, due to job running over I need two guys for one day in West Somerset. The work is helping finish a sweet chestnut clearance job involving a bit of dismantling and winching over. Must have own large saws, kit, regular CS and insurance and the ability to be able to work as Bona fied although there will be foreman on site to over see. It may be worth a write up on here; name, location, experience, tickets etc. It's a bad time to start up in the trade so maybe sub contracting may be a way to keep afloat.

Every one i know including myself uses vm650 or vm655. very good in my experience and good value.
