  1. I would say no. My insurance requires it but just because you can't see it on doc don't think they won't use it against you if you ever need to make a claim.
  2. As said basic nptc but also look for l2 arb or provable knowledge of trees and common sense. If your busy full time with gardening then keep with what you know and work out a deal with local tree surgeon you trust and can depend on as it will be your reputation.
  3. renault 75/14 looks the muts and been looking at chase they seem pretty good for my budget. I want this tractor to be good on the road as want be able to drive to where I keep logs about 25 miles away and bring back 10 or so 1 cube bags at a time so info on mpg or gpm I can expect would be appreciated. Also can you have chipper on pto and still pull trailer. Thanks, Sam
  4. If its a new vertex vent then yes can you post to Somerset lol.

    Trousers

I find if you leave money in them they get done quicker all I know is I nearly destroyed my washing machine once by washing my ropes after that I'm banned from kitchen all together.
  6. Just out of interest I need to get a more comprehensive first aid kit as I have no use for blue plasters how much is your kit and where cam I get it from?
  7. The entec is nothing compared to me tw150 but was my first and still useful on hard wood and is so light it is really handy on steep sites.
  8. Good pics, just watch your binner in last pic they don't like it like that. I use lamb docking rings to make sure rope don't move.
  9. What age. I have an entec 25 you can a look and play with next time your down this way.

  11. May mention for my money just looking for tractor rest will come in time.
  12. I have about 4 to 5k to spend on tractor I need pto to run 8" ISH chipper and timber trailer with crane I don't know much about tractors so any advice is greatly appreciatef. Thanks, Sam.
  13. I can't believe your asking this question. I have 58 and 00 plate and are butts nuts the only thing is 00 has no abs but other than that they won't be beat in the feild.
  14. I use one or two ropes as needed steel flip line and reserve second flip line on back of harness oh and never fig8 end of climbing line lol.
  15. I have a base call out plus how many what size and how low they want to go, same reply to all threads in same vain but if you charge what you need to get by and customer is happy with it then is right price.
  16. No signs needed and no obstruction to traffic also on middle a avenue so plenty of awareness, all this and didn't get job they thought 150 squid was to much for 45ft multi stem eucalypts take down, even with nd arb, rfs, 10m pl, nptc, 6 monthly crb and a team who love what they do. Maybe this year may be a tough one.
  17. Right thought I'd check official like today so went to local council, they put me through to highways, they put me through to county council, they put me through to la traffic officer who was sat in an office in the local council (where I went first) then he gave me number for local police station. Called them and they will give me no waiting signs to put on road night before and took reg no and I am to take a picture morning of arrival and to call police if any obstruction.
  18. Thanks guys will make sure I look good with correct signs and cones if I get the job and hopefully will be left alone.
  19. Try busta stump he's really good and up your way.
  20. Didn't have time to pop into local council office today so may be asking a silly question. Have to quote job where the only place to chip is on double yellow lines, parking here will not interrupt traffic but do I need to let the council know and pay them for the privilege? Sam
  21. Awesome but scary I'm surprised he never clipped in.
  22. Fantastic! A thread on how to kill trees that are spoiling our view. No wonder Joe public thinks tree surgeons are ******. Before you break the law can you let your neighbour now that you are a plumber and save my job a bit of dignity.
  23. Well at that price I'm better getting them from mars do you know a good haulage company. I know planet express don't ship length wood anymore. So what should I be charging to stack it.
  24. I thought I was to cheap at 3k and ill stack it for free, no wonder profits are down.
  25. I wouldn't want krab pressing against knot and was just the way o was shown seemed to have worked well for me keeping it all slighty separate.
