  2. Need a climber one day this week as put back out, job in Porlock Somerset. pm me for more info but need own kit but covered by my insurance, preferably self employed, excellent rate of pay. Sam
  3. Have you got a number as have need for a climber this week may lead on to more if any good Sam
  4. Having your wife involved is only beneficial for tax purposes so you don't end up paying higher rate tax. Your accountant will be able to go back two years and may be able to make it more bearable if you have made any purchases of a large nature other than that you ate liable for any amount that should of been charged. If you are mainly firewood then thus will be beneficial if you buy hardwood in.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a chainsaw is used for home use only you don't need to comply with h&s but they should at least wear basic safety kit we have all seen what can happen when you don't know what your doing. I know a few home users that have done nptc as a guide to help them use a saw.
  6. All it takes is right attitude and you will get there. We all started at the bottom busting our arses of soaking in the rain but one day you'll look back and say it was worth it. This is one of a few remaining industries that you can go to college and gain all the tickets and not expect to go in at the top, so good luck to you in your journey to become an arborist if it is any like mine has been you'll have the time of your life.
  7. Just watched robot chicken sw3 was even more awesome.
  8. It was the lack of care taken on the tree and the use of spikes, I like to know about birds so I can plan my work around them so why don't bird experts take the same time to lean about the place where most birds nest. But as long as I know I do the best I can then what every one else does is up to them and this was meant as an observation not a rant.
  9. I have desire z bought it for key board but hardly use it as touch screen is quite good even for my fat fingers all round fantastic phone but three bad points are 1. Battery only lasts a 14 hours max 2. Camera is poor at best 3. Loud speaker is no good. But if you can live with these minor flaws then it is more like a small laptop than a phone and should be treated as one so gets a thus up from me, also is quite robust suffered a few knocks but got saw dust stuck between pad and phone though.
  10. Anyone else notice the way they got to the honey buzard nest or the lack of ppe. Amateurs.
  11. Extra cab ranger served me well. Sold mine for 2800 on 53 plate. Now got tipped.
  12. Has anyone here have any experience of the survey app from otiss.co.uk any feedback would be appreciated.
  13. It is how much you want to put into it, it will be the same all around the World. If you are lazy then it will always be with you, if you want to work hard and try different things then you will try and achieve it no matter what. Too many people want it offered to them when it takes a lot of hard work and bending over backwards just to get to the bottom of this job but when you have suffered and worked hard then the rewards are endlessou just need the right mind and will be the same which ever country you work in.
  14. Use it all the time and you'll notice the difference when you spend all day on the saws worth the price and the had nothing but good service from dealer and Aspen guys. BTW I get mine for about £15 for 5ltrs but dont expect it to be a big selling point to customers bt for your own health it is worth it.
  15. Can you get it sign written for emergency call outs make it VAT free?
  16. Whistle and knife always sit at the rear.
  17. Switch between a Austria duo and Skyloctec kolibri
