  1. Who really knows what it will do. If the client wants to try to save it then I would cut out all the knackered stuff and leave it be for a while
  2. No I haven't. I thought you ment a fig 8 rope harness. Do you have a link?
  3. I saw a few age 4 plus. My wife would have a fit of a made a rope harness. Other option would be to use a toddler swing seat

    Logos?

Just get a stock similar to what you'd like.and get a graffic designers to knock up.a.similar. we recently changed the logo and our guy charged 30 quid and you get better resolution for.sign writing etc. I'll pm his email address if you interested
  5. Anyone know of.any harnesses, ideally full body, which would fit kids age 3 plus? I would love to set up some zip lines for my daughter and nephew this summer.
  6. Those little vampires love to suck my blood too. Deet is way too toxic. Try mossy guard natural, works.ok unless your in a jungle then deet is the only way. All that vitamin b12 is a load of.rubbish just gives you bo. Trouble is you just sweat any repellent away. No easy answer really, they never stop having you but in the end your body will just stop making the bites go red and itchy if you get bit too much.
  7. Sounds like I might stand a chance of getting a job there
  8. Been there too and know the pain. Got to dunk the plums in yogurt to put the fire out
  9. My wife has updated my our website. What do you think. East Devon Tree Surgeon and Arboricultural Consultancy
  10. Here you go. I should be working but can't get into it today. I found the sloth on a busy path without its mum, I put him in my backpack and took it home on the bus. They said to be pretty bad mothers and often don't retreive their young. I kept him in a box at night and strung a load of old ropes around my shack for him to climb in the day. Can't find any other shots just yet, most perrished in a damp old box. I scanned a few others of beasts around the house. Not sure what spider it was but there used to be loads of them. The stick insect was nearly a foot long. The last ones are of catching an Ocelot and a young Jaguar.
  11. Na I didn't rescue it. I made that mistake with a sloth once and had to share my house with it for the next 6 months. I'll dig out a photo of him later as he will fit right into this thread.
  12. Found this little critter whilst inspecting some Oaks last week. Was only about 4 foot off the ground in some Ivy. Any ideas what it is? I asumed its a Tawny Owl
  13. I tried damaging and semi ring barking a mature oak 3 years ago. Going to revisit that site in a few weeks so can update you on how it responded. It's more likely that selectively thinning the upper crown would be more suitable on la trees. You can thin enough to encourage dormant bud growth the continue to prune the upper crown to favour these shoots over time. It might be that on future prune you can begin to shorten the odd branch or stem back to its final piont before the rest of the crown comes down. I think its better to pull the odd branch back rather than repeatedly shortening the same branches
  14. I'm an ape not a monkey
  15. Are you trying to.say he is racist? If he referred to George bush as a cartoon character would that be different seeing as he is white?
  16. Ian were you just practicing that there or was there something to dodge. Did you just run the rope through a pulley at the.base.then tension it, if so what? Did you clip the lifting eye to both ends of the rope? Never done a verticle.speedline but it looks like it could be a usefully trick when it counts
  17. Proper job. Full marks for your 1st crane job. Looked like the driver was on the ball
  18. Time should be a factor but not the main priority. Getting it down safely is my main concern
  19. In the same time or less?
  20. I'm not a knit picker and have been impressed with a couple of your videos, but I'm not sold on your.explanation here. I can't see how that speeding.would.stop the brash coming back onto you there. Ok the butt isn't going to move that much but the brash could.give you a wack. Those small ones you kicked off nearly came back on you because they weren't completely severed, the only reason the big ones didn't is.because they weighed more so broke the hinge sooner. Tying off the butts did.not prevent that. It also looked like one of the.final big ones very nearly kicked back on you. At that piont there.was slack in the system from the stop line which is why it came back proving that at that moment your speedline wasn't doing a great deal at that critical moment
  21. Has Osama Bin Laden been dead for seven years - and are the U.S. and Britain covering it up to continue war on terror? | Mail Online
  22. Will send it over when I'm working in the office. What ate you paying for a 3 man team and where. I have family in malmo

  23. Buried at sea within 24 hours? That seems odd when you remember all the photos they took of sadam and his cronies when they killed them. Can't believe what you hear on the news these days
  24. Nice set up you got there. Is that a Grcs you got strapped to the tree? If so how are you finding it?
  25. Good job. Was that your first crane job? If so then you did very.well
