  1. I am in exactly the same boat. 3 men, 2 trucks 2 chippers. We have work booked 6-8 weeks from Jan, but I wont commit to extra labour untill I sus the new year out. Most people can be convinced to wait so long as its done before spring sas long as they know they are getting a good job and its going to happen before the buds break. I would rather miss out on a few "can you do it next week?" jobs than put extra guys on the books only to lay them off in spring
  2. Thanks. I could fill another 200 pages with some of the shots I have. This one is good though. Pruning some huge Tipo trees in a prestigous garden in Argentina this summer.
  3. This was my first crane job a couple of years ago. 120foot tall 12foot diameter. Took 1/2 a day to de-brash and about half a day with a 90tonne crane. I was glad to be a subbie back then so didn't get involved in the clear up
  4. This is my first post but I wanted to share this shot. I was joined by a large troop of baboons while measuring some trees earlier in the year. They were pretty aggressive at first but soon got pretty chilled.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
