  1. Now i know why my saw is not cutting properly, i have inadvertantly sharpened it to a ripping shape. Now i am going to have to do a alot of filing to regain the right shape. Bugger

  3. I have had a Browns woodworker for about five years, and i can not fault it. FGF -BROWNS Woodworker Sawbench (NEW)

  6. It's £1.42 a litre here, and we have two refineries within 6 miles
  7. It does not matter what you do Sycamore will never hold, it is too brittle for fancy cuts. The oly way that it will go other than the lean is with a winch/ ropes.
  8. I said that i had spent the day pruning nectria out of an orchard, and thats what it looked like it to me. Softwood are prown to as many different cankers as hardwoods, but Nectria galligena does not effect softwoods.

  12. Only ever used the uniforest ones in the past, which have proven to be bomb proof. However now that i am going to have to buy my own i have just been looking at the wallenstein, which seem very good value for money, too good to be true ? Time will tell
  13. You will be wanting a union graduate lathe, i got mine from these people. G & M Tools - Union Graduate The last piece that i turned was about 20", which was about the limit.

  15. I have just spent the day pruning out nectarina canker from apple trees, which to me looks like what is in these trees in pics one and two. However are these on softwood trees, if they are, then i am fairly sure that nectarina canker does not effect them. So back to the drawing board i am afraid.
