  1. Can anyone shed any light on this weird, corky looking gouge out of this gum limb? The limb in question is the lower right, approx. 12" diameter. The defect is 'round the back' on the main tree shot. Tree is probably 60', and is in in-laws garden, so they will listen to any advice on action if necessary. Minimal targets really, conny hedge, neighbours lawn. Thanks.
  2. I'd do it all year round, unless its a real biggie, and you are going to leave 18 inch 'pruning' cuts on it.
  3. Bet it was frosty. Ash is prone to exploding a bit when frozen, IME. Lucky man. Or is there a corpse lying just out of camera shot?
  4. Shouldn't it have a massive spoiler Mozza? It looks that aerodynamic it must be a struggle to stop it taking off! Nice one pal, proper chip truck that.
  5. Steady Rupe. Or you'll get a load of mulch tipped in your driveway!
  6. Powder central at the moment isn't it? Enjoy!
  7. None of my insurance cos. have ever asked about NPTC units! I have neither. I do, however, have CS 39 - use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness. But by the sound of things I'm not qualified to either prune trees or take them down. What does 39 allow me to do exactly? Scratch my a*** with a chainsaw?
  8. I'm even more devious than I realised!
  9. Justin, whilst I did make up my answer, I believe it is funnier than the truth and I should qualify for a Stein as well...
  10. Top work in the wet Reg. Is that a typical building job where the trees could have been felled down the bank in a oner if they had decided they were coming out before starting building? Mind you, wheres the fun in that?
  11. Ballsy post mate, could never happen to me blah blah blah bollocks. Heal quick, heal well. This post will save some others a trip to A&E. Good man.
  12. The guy finishing the MS361 exhausts is a big Bavarian called Rubmi Koch. He gets well excited every time he completes one, hence the white mark.
  13. Would never park in a disabled bay, but is there any need for so many? My local Tescos has more disabled bays than there are disabled people in Kent! By far the quickest way to park at a supermarket is to go right to the end of the car park where its empty, then take the radical step of walking for 30 seconds to the shop. This method also minimises the risk of some nice lady scraping your truck with her Range Rover.
  14. Lost opportunity for stunt fell down the track there Sawdust! Made me cold just looking at the pics!
  15. Wow! Didn't realise it was dead. All that gym work is really paying off buddy!
  16. Good luck with it mate. If everyone passed every time, the ticket would be worthless anyway. When you do pass you will have gained a worthwhile qualification.
  17. Rupe, if you play this one right you could be in line for some free chipper blades. I would never encourage blackmail, of course....
  18. Possibly Tony. I'm not very good at giving folk the benefit of the doubt these days. He's got muttons like a did, though. And clothes. If he has got learning disabilities his Mam should dress him better.
  19. Bet you're glad you didn't have to change the head on that little baby Tommer!
  20. Well why didn't you say! Good work fella!
  21. Good call Tony. Benefits should only be paid to people who turn up at the job centre every day and can spend their time actually looking for a job rather than watching Jeremy Kyle. Or posting on Arbtalk.
  22. Bling. You could use it to tie loads down if you ran out of ratchet straps.
  23. Some who turned up gave it a go. I can't believe the lazy mark bolams who didn't even turn up. Unbelievable.
  24. Am I right in thinking this only applies to your INITIAL purchase from the dealer, and subsequent purchases can be sent out? May be wrong here, mind. Good idea for a start up business though. http://www.facetofacemotorcyclechainsawcourier.co.uk My idea, my royalties.
