  1. Welcome Stevie. You'd be better off sticking this in General Forum. Be warned though. There are some strange people on here....
  2. Damn man, where was your genius advice before Valentine's day?!
  3. I think it looks great, but it is too pricey. I'll have a go at knocking one up with my wifes 'silver bullet' vibro and some molten lead. It will sell for a tenner. Used, of course.
  4. The next time I am somewhere that sells them, one will be mine, my prrreccciiioooouuuussssssssssss!
  5. Sorry for hijack Mozza, thought I was on General pics. That'll be the senility creeping up on me. Of course I was at Mafeking, damn Boers blah blah blah....
  6. I'm happy to hire mine out to anyone. It comes at a slight premium though, 'cos I'll be feeding it.
  7. Taking The Honk for a walk last weekend in Hampshire, and I saw this beside a track. Big-ass butt for a Holly!
  8. Andy, you are missing the point entirely. Stihl Hi-lift wedges are clearly designed to smash to smithereens really quickly so our Teutonic cousins can make more money! Good idea. Something else to shove in the Tranny. I think my legal chip load is about 90KG these days with all the gear I carry now...
  9. That's funny mate. Message to all - Stunt Fell club HAS to include the ones that go wrong as well!
  10. No pics? You sound like a fisherman down the pub holding his arms apart! Priorities next time, young fella. Does sound like a proper stunt fell, mind.
  11. I'm afraid this p**s-poor entry rather sums up my whole lethargic attitude to life at the moment. I least I got it wedged first throw, which is the luckiest thing thats happened to me this month. Must be almost 7 foot up there.
  12. Err... thats tomorrow night mate. It's Wednesday. Be like watching a car crash.
  13. Dead at the mo mate, but that may have more to do with the time of year and the winter we have had. Still got a few jobs on hold because of waterlogged lawns. Waiting for the sun to come out then an explosion of work! .
  14. Here we go again... Can we have some rule clarification please Stevie? Does the shovel have to be hurled, or can it be 'placed'? I'm with Dave on the hi-vis shafts thing. We wouldn't want this getting stupid, would we?
  15. That is the shovel they use to shovel the shite out of aeroplane toilets at 37000 feet. Someone let go of it by accident during a bit of turbulence, and it ended up wedged on that peg. Anyone can see that.
  16. And they would fit right in in the Blue Oyster bar.
  17. I find if I've had enough Stellas when I get pulled over the conversation rarely gets round to tachographs.
  18. Reckon John Shutler is still out there with his Petzl head-torch re-glazing a greenhouse....
  19. Stein climbing jacket here. Not Gore-Tex, but more waterproof than my North Face, which is, and half the price.
  20. Cracking day for it Rupe, wet here. Nice job. How did it chip? I always find the bigger needled stuff a bit of a pain, but it seemed to disappear quickly enough! BTW did you charge extra for the Holly?
  21. Credit where credit's due. You are a master of the gypsy stick! How do you get the angle? Climb an adjacent tree?
  22. It must be Adam. I used a screwgate carabiner for lowering everything for years before discovering bending radii etc. on Arbtalk. I would stay small with it though. (And yes, I know the technically correct answer is no. I'm a rebel, what can I say.)

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
